Added 2022-05-04 11:21:18 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 8 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime! WOWWWWWW!!! So yeah, no one told me I'd be needing tissues for this one! It was great to hear more about Shizu's life story, although very heartbreaking at times. Why did her teacher leave her? Why did the demon lord summon her? Who are some of those kids she taught in the flashback? So many questions, and thanks to her last request of being eaten by Rimuru being fulfilled, looks like we will eventually get some answers!! Also, WOW how sad was that?! Her being reunited with her mom....OMG :'D Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

I even mentioned it in one of today's reactions, it really helped me to know that! I think it's safe to refer to him as "he" but if at any point that's wrong, I will totally change it!!!

2022-05-10 21:01:52 +0000 UTCOh ok! Thanks for clarifying that. Wow!!! I didn't realize that gender-specific pronouns don't exist in the Japanese language!!! The translator probably just used those in light of the fact that Rimuru uses the masculine speech maybe? Thanks for the info!

Also when the English uses he or she, those are just words the translator throws in there to make it make sense in English. In Japanese those pronouns don't exist.
