Sometimes I get a bit down on myself for drawing over a hundred pages and still not making much progress in the over-arching plot of this comic, but when I go back and look at the previous pages I don't feel like any of them are a waste of time. Just about every single one shows, hints at, or solidifies something new about the characters or setting. At least I think so. Like this page, it isn't REALLY about Leecha cutting a rat's arm off (though that will be used as a catalyst for more exposition in the coming pages), it's my way of telling you that her familiar charm is her own skin. That's a pretty big part of her character and her arc, and I think it deserves its own page.
And maybe I could have cut straight to the exciting stuff and it would be just as satisfying, hook readers in and then do the character moments, but I don't think that's the right approach for this particular comic. I hope that I'm right, I hope it all amounts to something really good in the end, and I hope you enjoy reading it!!
