iOS Patreon App Change
Added 2024-08-13 00:17:07 +0000 UTCI received an email from Patreon in the morning (I didn’t get around to it until now), although I’m late to be making this post I still want to bring awareness of this change to about the IOS Patreon app. From what I have read, starting in November 2024, any new Patreon memberships purchased through the iOS Patreon app will have a 30% fee attached to the pledge. Here's an article explaining it further, and an FAQ page if you unsure about it.
What should you do about this?
The best way is to avoid purchasing through the Apple store for future memberships, and instead is use Android, desktop and mobile website.
