Jujutsu Kaisen 1x04 "Curse Womb Must Die" reaction & review
Added 2021-04-28 11:44:53 +0000 UTCHey everyone!!! Here it is - my reaction to Jujutsu Kaisen episode 4!!! Oh dang, it's one of our first missions out together and our crew gets assigned a Special Grade?! While Gojo isn't around?!?! I felt so bad for Yuji in this...he definitely started to doubt himself a bit. The plan to release Sukuna once everyone was clear was a good one....and WOW, that curse was all that until Sukuna showed up and DESTROYED it!!!! So I guess it worked, except.....Yuji, where are you?!?!!? Way to end the ep, with that smirk from Sukuna once he realizes he's about to get to rampage. Can't wait to see what happens next!!! Great ep - enjoy!!! ~ MH

Haha that's okay, it's not an easy thing to do with a cell phone anyway! It was a lot easier to do with actual telephones back in the day (dinosaur talk over here lol). I can't even do it with my shoulder up because my cheek finds a way to either press Mute or End hahahah :P

There have been other anime girls with aggressive attitudes, but Nobara is different. She just OOZES confidence and pride, and even in the face of imminent death she is smack-talking the Curses. And Yuji is just the sweetest guy. So kind and caring, which is not what you expect in a super-strong fighter. Even when he is attacking the Cursed Womb, his thoughts are about helping others not hurting his enemies. And he loves dogs! And in one short episode, we already know a ton about the personality of Ijichi, the guy with the glasses. I won't say anything about anyone else because it would be hard to share my thoughts without spoilers!

They will drop a word or a concept and not fully explain it, and then later on they will flesh it out - for example, they have been mentioning the Grades of Curses since the first episode, but only now explained them. So when they say something you might not understand - like a Domain, or a Window - then you can usually trust they will explain it later.

2021-04-28 13:17:45 +0000 UTCOne of the things I like about Jujutsu Kaisen is that it is influenced by the Horror genre, but doesn't have the things that make me dislike Horror movies. The lighting, music, camera angles and of course the fact that they graphically killed both people and an adorable doggo are there, but there isn't a sense of hopelessness or dread. In some shows where a lot of characters die, I get really depressed. But here I still feel like the heroes will prevail. It reminds me of RWBY in that regard. Even after the Volume 3 deaths, I never felt as though I should give up hope in a happy ending.
