The “there” in the sentence is commonly used to exaggerate dialogue or an accent

2023-05-29 22:26:05 +0000 UTCEee! This is lovely! Technically you could drop “there.” “Is something the matter,” would be ‘proper english,’ but it’s not exactly an error to use “there” where it is.
