Hey everyone! Here's my reaction to episode 8. Oh man, we get a bigger glimpse into what happened with Norman at the research lab....gotta say, never thought I'd find the farms to be more palatable than anything, but jeez!!! The imagery there was quite disturbing. Still not quite sure how Norman got the side effects, aside from maybe the pills. But one thing's for sure, he is not letting ANYTHING get in his way when it comes to this plan. I can't believe Norman is starting to scare me! The scene with the grandfather/granddaughter was a total Martha moment but made me think that maybe there is still some doubt in Norman. And now Emma is here to make sure he "doesn't go alone" again - down this dark path of his, I'm guessing!!!! Wow, can't wait to see what happens next! Enjoy! ~ MH

It was a great one! They did a great job of balancing why it would make sense for him to want to do it, while also showing that he really didn't want to deep down. Awww great point about the lucky charm! It really is saying something that watching Norman inner monologue about his plan is one of the darkest points of the show! The parallels between Norman and the older demon were great! Oh man, Norman as a villain was so hard to watch. I agree about the older demon, definitely seems like he's one of the first ones to encounter Mujika! Little kid Norman was so precious to see! If anyone can do this, it's Emma!!! Thank you so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed my reaction and thanks always for your support and encouragement! My reaction to the next ep just went up, yay!! :D

2021-03-13 15:42:24 +0000 UTCI love this episode so much and I think it’s the best episode of the season so far despite how dark and disturbing it was. I love getting to see what Norman went through and how bad it really was with the experimentation. Seeing the slow change of Norman to how he is now was great because of how realistic it felt and it really explains his genocidal plan considering the horrible things that the demons did. However you can definitely see that Norman doesn’t completely like having to do this. I enjoy how the search felt tense and urgent. I loved seeing the kids intelligence with them narrowing down where to search. I was so nervous for the kids when they were being chased by the giant demon but I think it’s so fitting that the lucky charm that represents Emma and Mujika’s friendship is what saved them. Seeing the start of Norman’s plan was 1 of the darkest scenes in the show which is which is saying a lot considering the type of show this is. It was so disturbing to see the suffering and death they were inflicting on the demons especially seeing the children that were affected. Even though it was a big coincidence but I think it was amazing that the old demon’s granddaughter is named Emma especially the parallels of the 2 of them to Emma and Norman. I definitely agree with you that it was terrifying to see Norman turning into a villain or the devil as he would say. His hesitation and realization of what he’s done is so good especially because his resolve is coming from more wanting to save his family rather than just revenge like you said with his hands literally stained with blood. I think with what some of the demons said that they were expecting to degenerate but not this soon. I think the old demon is someone Mujika helped a long time ago or is her disciple and somehow survived the purge by the demon nobility. I love how the end of the episode is showing us that Norman is still just a kid and I think Emma is going to try to stop him in the most peaceful way possible. This was a great reaction and I can’t wait for the next episode and your reaction. Keep up the great work. :-) <3
