WandaVision 1x09 "The Series Finale" - reaction & review

***Video has not processed but can be downloaded - I'm working on uploading another copy now and will replace the link once it's ready!  Thanks for your patience!!***

Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to ep 9.  WOW!  What a wrap up to the season (series??) you guys!!  I knew it was going to be heartbreaking, but I love that there were so many triumphant and hopeful moments as well.  Wanda looks AMAZING, beautiful, fierce, and even a little scary in the most gorgeous way possible lol in her new look.  I knew what she would end up choosing, as difficult a decision as it was, and the goodbye scenes were just so well done.  But, is this really goodbye?  I'm so curious about all the loose ends they left!
ALSO: I sorta knew the first end credits referenced Captain Marvel but TOTALLY forgot what happened at the end of Spiderman Far From Home lol, don't worry, I'm all caught up now!!!  So excited to see where these little hints in the after credits go - very intriguing!
All in all, AWESOME series and such a great last episode!!!!  Wanda went from having a handful of movie scenes to being a fully developed character, probably now one of my all-time faves in this franchise.  Thanks for watching along with me and join me in my Falcon and the Winter Solider reactions in a few weeks, please!!!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I think you're right! I hope Hex Vision comes back, and that's a great point about her Mind Stone abilities possibly bringing White Vision back to being the true Vision. I guess we'll see!!!

Melissa Moore

Yeah, we haven’t seen the last of Billy and Tommy. To me, the second post credits scene confirms that much. Whether they come from another reality or Wanda finds a way to recreate them without the Hex, I’m sure she’ll bring them back. I also think Hex Vision will come back in some way too. My theory is this: the show seems to imply that Wanda always had her power, and the Mind Stone “awakened” it or strengthened it. Perhaps this means that she doesn’t NEED the part of the Mind Stone she has, so she’ll give it to White Vision, and that’ll be the last part he needs to become the true Vision again. Possibly. Maybe...

Thanks for that! I hear you, it can get quite expensive!!! I never thought of it that way, that the success outside of comic book media is actually hurting the industry! :/

Melissa Moore

No, it's not shameful not to have read them. To be honest I had to stop because I was into way too many titles so it was way too expensive for me to keep reading them. Luckily thanks to the X-men movie I got my fix with all the films. Unfortunately the success of these films and TV shows are killing the comic book industry now.

Ah yes, thanks for clarifying that! That's why I added the note stating I blanked on what happened at the end of the Spiderman movie with Nick Fury. Ahhh that makes sense that it was astral projection, I heard that this will be leading into the next Dr. Strange movie! I really hope Wanda isn't the villain in the movie either! Ohhhh that makes total sense about the multiverse and the kids being in another reality. Very interesting about the comics! I hear you, it's been forever since I read comics, I never read anything related to Scarlet Witch directly though, such a shameful thing for me to admit haha. Thanks for all the info!

Melissa Moore

The Skrull that met with Monica in the first end credit scene was most likely referring to Nick Fury who we last saw in a space station. She will be an Avenger eventually. Wanda was using an Astral projection to study the Darkhold. The same way Dr Strange was studying to become a Sorcerer. I heard this show leads into Dr. Strange 2 and It must be true because I am pretty sure that was the Music from his movie playing in the background or something similar. I hope Wanda isn't the villain in the movie. Her kids could have been calling out for help from another reality since The next Dr Strange movie will have to do with the multiverse, or maybe they were in hell. In the comics Billy's and Tommy's souls were actually part of Mephesto's soul or body. It's been a real long time since I read those comics

Hmm, that's an interesting perspective on the situation, thanks for bringing it up! When you look at it that Wanda can't control her powers and could be very destructive (possibly even destroy the world), I suppose one could paint Agatha in a different light as far as her intentions go. The question is, what would she do with Wanda's power if she got it? My assumption was that she'd use it to rule/wreak havoc/etc. But I could be wrong! Ohhhhh yes you were right on with the book! The twins' voices could definitely be some kind of temptation. And if Agatha really was trying to prevent catastrophe, it would be ironic if she ended up being the one who brought the Darkhold to Wanda in the first place like you said. So interesting! Thank you!

Melissa Moore

I think Agatha had 'good' intentions but went about it in a way more ruthless than necessary, as in willing to sacrifice Wanda if it meant avoiding the end of the world without even thinking of a compromise like teaching her how to control her magic. She recognized that the power of the Scarlet Witch was in the hands of someone barely able to control it and decided to take it away from her before that prophecy from the book could come to pass. And talking about that book... Oh boy, I called it, it really was the Darkhold after all. And that makes me worry about that final scene. I think that Wanda hearing the twin's voices was just the Darkhold tempting her to use it to get them back. Agatha had centuries of magic experience to resist its influence but I'm not so sure about Wanda. Maybe in trying to prevent the end of the world Agatha really started it by bringing the Darkhold to Wanda.

Couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!!! <33333333333
