Hunter x Hunter 1x09 "Beware × Of × Prisoners" reaction & review
Added 2021-03-04 13:57:53 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here's my reaction to episode 9! Well, I clearly should not have worried so much about Gon! He may not think like a killer or criminal, but he is definitely quick-thinking and savvy enough to easily out-think the candle situation! Also, cunning may not have even done the trick when it came to choosing a candle anyway, since they were both rigged. Next up is Kurapika who gets totally triggered!!! It was crazy watching calm, collected Kurapika get that way. I feel so bad for him, considering that his trigger is the spider - not even the Phantom Troupe logo, just any spider, in general! On the other hand, that seems INCREDIBLY common and like it could be a big problem later on! Great ep! Can't wait to see more! Enjoy! ~ MH

I will definitely be looking for more scenes/characters/ideas that were inspiration for that particular series!!!! In the first episode, the captain of the ship told Kurapika hunting down the Troupe would be a suicide mission. He responds with "I do not fear death, I fear only that my rage will fade over time". You can see he holds that grudge well. Scary yet impressive.

The creater of that other show was a big fan of hunter x hunter and took a lot of inspiration from it, you’ll see even more of that if you look for it! I love hearing your insights on these characters! You’re spot on, and I love how close attention you pay to the smallest details of their personalities, it’ll really give you more opinions on their perspectives as the show goes on! Gon is super adorable and I just feel so sad for Kurapika and all of his pain

2021-03-04 15:36:17 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) Regarding the voice of Majitani, if you have watched One Piece, it is the voice of Mister 2 Bon Clay and Franky, for the most famous roles. I like how Gon and Killua are not impressed at all by Majitani smashing the ground with his fist, after their games with Netero, Majitani really doesn't seem impressive (and Killua seems to know people at least as powerful as Netero). Idk if you already watched the next episode, but for your reaction, i suppose it will be between fun and dismay ^^'.

2021-03-04 14:42:53 +0000 UTCyeah firs time I saw it I thought the trick was just that the candles would burn for like 24hours plus to waste their time. But yeah Gon is kinda of naive but at the same time he has the instincts & skills to counter his naivety :) I think all that has been said about the scarlet eyes so far it's that they turn scarlet due to heightened emotional states and when scarlet it's considered one of the 7 most beautiful colors I looked it up and the voice actor for Majitani(the blue guy) was Kazuki Yao and apparently he also voices Franky in One Piece (I believe that might make sense to you since I see Franky is in several episodes of One Piece)
