Hunter x Hunter 1x05 "Hisoka × is × Sneaky" reaction & review
Added 2021-02-04 14:14:50 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here's my reaction to episode 5! Well dang, we get to see a lot more Hisoka in this one, and let me tell you - I am TERRIFIED!!!! I think the plan to run was an EXCELLENT one, but thank goodness that due to his twisted sense of morality or justice or whatever, Hisoka actually "accepted" Leorio and Gon. Gon gets a lucky shot in on Hisoka, but is in mortal danger for the first time ever that we've seen!!! Goes to show how formidable Hisoka must be! I am intrigued but very scared!!!! But, it's nice that he appreciates friendship and is carrying Leorio back...?! Wow!!! What en ep! Can't wait to see more!

Lots of carnage for such a fun show lol, but good point about Hisoka kind of acting out of self defense here. I'm glad that they still include the actions taken even if they have to censor things a bit! Hope you love my future reactions!!

2021-02-04 15:29:19 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) About Hisoka voice, his VA is Daisuke Namikawa, and his major role was Ulquiorra Cifer from Bleach, Momoshiki Ootsutsuki from Naruto/Boruto and Goemon Ishikawa XIII from Lupin III among others. Regarding Hisoka, we just got a little glimpse of the character, but we'll see more later. We could see that he was not alone or at least that he had a friend / teammate, so not so "lone wolf" that one could imagine at the beginning ^^. For now the series is nice, but is still far from having shown its true potential, for that it will be necessary to wait for the end of the exam hunter and the arc which follows this one, even if during the exam, we have a great time. So around episode 30 for the real start, but you'll already have plenty of fun soon ;-).

2021-02-04 15:10:39 +0000 UTCGreat reaction again Melissa :) All I'll say about Hisoka is that he is definitely an... interesting character, and he has an amazing presence whenever he is on screen. To answer your question, we haven't seen Hisoka hanging out with anyone up to this point in the series, but your questions regarding the communicator will be answered, and you'll naturally get to understand him better as time goes on. Also yeah, a LOT of people died during this phase of the test. Eaten by wildlife, impaled on spikes, heads turned into mushrooms by poison gas, or as you assumed - killed by Hisoka. It is worth noting though that the people Hisoka killed in this episode specifically plotted to ambush and kill him, so he was definitely provoked into dealing with them. The censorship is definitely most noticeable in the first three arcs, but regardless of censorship HxH is not a story that holds back, and I think this episode is really the first that makes this clear. I think that's about all this time! Looking forward to continuing on next week :)
