Hey everyone! Here's my reaction to episode 2. Well dang, we get a WHOLE lot of info in this one! I've wondered so long about the details of what the world is like, what's going on, etc. and thanks to our friendly neighborhood demons, we actually get some solid answers!
Also, that ending scene with Emma... it's sad to see some of that childhood innocence slip away, and it's ironic that she should have to kill to eat. Dang!!! I just know this whole season will be so emotional! Can't wait to see more! Enjoy! ~ MH

Lol it was a good theory though! Good enough that they actually addressed it on the show! That's a good question!! Who knows, maybe the demons were there first....!!! :O Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!

Omg, I need to go rewatch this opening because I too will lose it if William Minerva turns out to be evil!!! And Phil looking up at Grandma....that's both very bad for Isabella and bad for our babies left on the farm!! The scene where Emma learns about the flowers is so emotional...!! And yes, the kids being worried for Emma and Ray was so sweet. Emma being determined to hunt despite her sweet nature is also so well done. Yes, too bad the demons found that message! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and for the support/encouragement, it means a lot!!! Oh PS I didn't even realize some of the lullaby was in there!!!! ^_^ ~ MH

2021-01-17 07:13:29 +0000 UTCThis episode is so great just for the world building alone. I love how even though they are nice demons they are still very scary probably not even on purpose. Especially Sonju who is imposing as fuck he’s like 10 to 15 feet tall. I love all the heartwarming interactions throughout the episode. And then we get to the exposition dump which is awesome. It’s interesting to hear them describe themselves as heretics which is a great word in stories although it has a very negative usage when talking about real life stuff. It’s insane to think that the world has been like this for 1000 years and is so segregated. It’s an almost impossible goal but I love that they now have more hope and want to change the world. Also I have a theory about what’s going on with this world the calendars are wrong and it’s actually 3015 or the entire history of the earth after 1945 has been fabricated in the farms and while it is our earth it’s been completely changed. I love the little montage of them learning really useful things like hunting and gathering as well as identifying useful plants and mundane things useful for surviving. It also shows them getting closer and forming a friendship with Mujika. Before I forget it also means more that the opening has demons on one side and humans on the other. Also in the opening although it goes quickly there’s a character who might be the Him the demons always talk about or Minerva. Unfortunately it looks sinister and I swear if this show makes Minerva evil I will freak out. Also there’s an image of Phil looking up at grandma which means Isabella is either dead or suffering a fate worse than death. I’m so glad the show dealt with Emma and Ray being too self sacrificial and reckless even if they don’t want to die if they aren’t careful they can and will die. Also just Sonju saying you definitely would have died is darkly hilarious. It is very emotional and heartwarming to see them so concerned for each other. And on to the final scene which is so Impactful and emotional. I love Emma wanting to learn kill and fight living things because it’s the best way to protect her family even if it’s costing her a part of herself. I love that she still has that caring and sweetness but has resolve even if it disgusts her. It was so interesting that the flowers are vampiric and that the ritual requires respect. I love Emma’s relief when she learns her siblings didn’t suffer it’s so emotional. Also I’m curious if were going to see a discussion about this between some of the kids especially Emma, Ray, Don and Gilda as well as if some of the other kids will have to go through this as well or if Emma is going to go against people’s advice about not bearing burdens alone. I’m also terrified that we might see another encounter with the pursuer demons as well as an actual fight of Sonju against the demon with the sword and another case although kind of excited about it since they found the message Ray left which is unfortunate. This was such a great reaction and I can’t wait for the next episode as well as your reaction to it. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

2021-01-17 07:12:15 +0000 UTCYeah me too!!! For sure, it opens up lots of other questions and possibilities now that we have a more locked down scenario. Yes, I love that we got to see the other kids scolding Ray and Emma - it deepens their bond and also proves they are much more a part of this than just background characters! LOL I have never had an impossible burger and now I'm thinking I might have to try one! :P

2021-01-15 09:09:30 +0000 UTCThis was a good one. I have questions about this (new to us) Earth. But I'm glad we got a confirmed year and location. It still boggles my mind thats Earth. These are the questions I've had right after that "pen" opened up. And I'm very happy the kids gave Emma and Ray the business. Dont leave them out of the loop! Lol mmm an impossible burger sounds good right about now.
