Hunter x Hunter 1x01 "Departure × And × Friends" reaction & review
Added 2021-01-07 14:07:14 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - finally, I'm reacting to Hunter x Hunter!!!! Here's my reaction to episode 1! I LOVED IT! Instant fan! That music - both the theme and the score - and the visuals! I really like Gon so far! He has a childlike innocence but not a rash/youthful/impulsive attitude, he's actually fairly wise for his age! It was fun meeting our other characters, Kurapika and Leorio, too! Something tells me they will be fun to watch and grow on this journey! Loved the "man overboard" scene and how everyone responded to it. I think I just started off on a very special adventure you guys! Can't wait to see more! Enjoy! ~ MH

YAY!!!!! So glad you're watching with me! Yes, I was so happy I got my guess about the band right haha. Learning is fun!!! :D Hehe. Ohhhhh speaking of which, thanks for the tip about Ging - actually noticed at some point in this week's ep that it didn't have the hard "g" when they said it, but got confused because of the spelling. It's a site that condenses down large arcs to make them easier to watch. That might be a good option for catching up quick if I ever needed to! Not the same, but better than nothing I suppose.

2021-01-08 06:06:07 +0000 UTCWell, yes you're right. The ED of HunterxHunter and the OP of Parasyte -the maximum- are sung by the same band, which is Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas. Yes, it's a long name XD. Also! Both anime are made by the same anime studio which is MADHOUSE!!!!

Excited to watch along with you :D I have put off watching HxH in the past cause of its length but this is a good excuse to start!

A long with Attack on Titan, this is one of my favorite anime as well as just favorite pieces of fiction in general. Hope you enjoy it because you're in for a treat with this show!

2021-01-07 14:53:47 +0000 UTCNow you see what kind of scene I had in the back of my mind when Blake and Sun were on the boat at the start of RWBY Volume 4 XD. The thing with this first episode is that it didn't show a certain passage, which will be later, but part of the beginning of the manga, and which explains a little better why Gon wants to be a Hunter. Still for an analogy with RWBY, Blake explained that Ruby was the definition of purity, Gon is too, you've already started to see it and it's not about to stop ^^. And for the ending, I haven't checked, but I'm 99% sure that they are the same as for the opening of Parasyte yes (among other things).

I've seen a lot of One Piece but not all of it, left off during the haunted mansion arc (don't think that's what it was called lol but I remember it was spooky).
