The Mandalorian 2x07 "Chapter 15: The Believer" reaction & review
Added 2020-12-12 14:31:22 +0000 UTCHey everyone!!! Here it is, ep 7 of season 2 of The Mandalorian!!! This was a very fun one, especially considering last ep's events!!! Glad we took a moment to breathe and have an adventure before things heat up for the finale. I had a lot of fun with Mayfield in this one and he made some legitimate points about war, its effects on individuals, etc.....really came around to liking his character by the end! Also, Mando breaks his one rule....!!!! I felt so bad for him!!! But it just goes to further the point about what we're willing to do when desperate for something. And that end scene - Mando echoing the words back at Gideon....!!!!! Aahhhhhh such a great triumphant end to the ep!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

You know, I had never thought of that, but that's an excellent point! He really takes a different perspective than other characters we've seen, doesn't he? Agreed - great ep!!! :D

Better to have our ethics questioned before lives depend on it. Anyway, this episode was way deeper than I was expecting & fun to watch:)

And that's what I was thinking about the pirates too! I feel like they would have stolen the stuff, not tried to blow it up, if they were actually pirates. Bill Bur was awesome here! I've seen him in other stuff now that I think about it, just needed to see the name to confirm it was who I was thinking of. He did SUCH a great job in that scene; for a funny guy, he does drama so well!!! Right - the droid saw him and he wasn't "living", so I knew the camera scanning wouldn't be a problem, but when the officer started talking to him, my heart just broke for him! Good to know that the code is still upheld since all who saw him are dead except for Mayfield, who said he didn't see him. Actually, according to files, I guess Mayfield will be "dead" now too haha! Don't know if the Mandalorians would could such a technicality though. :P Oooh can't wait for the finale, hopefully we will have some cameos like you said! YES!!!! I heard all the Disney news and I've been going nuts!!! I can't wait!!! I hope/plan to react to all of them!!!!!!!! XD Thanks again for all the info!!!

True the Planet looks more beautiful, than Ahsokas, but the magistrate was the reason for it. Maybe a year later this planet too will look more like Ahsokas. Refining volatile chemicals will leave some trash that is not so good for the environment. So i thought after the episode, where those Pirates, really Pirates...or locals fighting the imperium? The village we saw where all humans, so they could really be Pirates. Bill Bur, the actor for Mayfield, is a stand up comedian. Blasters can run out of ammo, in clone wars we had the clones talk about running low on charges. It could also be a malfunction, because imperial remnant weapons are not the best. Din said before, no living thing should see his face, so IG 11 said, he was no living thing. So thats why he took of Mandos helmet. That talk with the officer, was such a great performance from Bill Bur, you could see the pain in his face, nearly shedding tears over his comrades he lost. Who only are mentioned as necessary sacrifices. Killing all in the officer mess also helps mando, so only Mayfield saw him. So mando still has uphold his code, as mayfield said he never "saw" his face. Ah the Slave-1 seismic charges, one of the best sounds from the prequels. I hoped we see, and hear them again. I hope the finale is at least 1 hour long, or more. We might get help from Bo Katan, because she wants her Dark Saber, and Mando knows the position of Giddeon. So maybe we get alot of Mandalorians fighting the Imperium. It would be cool seeing Ahsoka again, but i doubt it. Also, if you have not heard about it, Disney announced like 9 new Star Wars "series". One of them is Ahsoka, which will be playing in the same time as Mando. Others that might be interesting are "Rangers of the New Republic". So Cara Dune could get her own spin off, and that might mean she comes back an recruit Mayfield again. And of course, the series "Obi Wan Kenobi" let see if the sass survived the aftermath of Order 66.
