Me too!!! I love the new look - both Ruby's and the animation! The Grimm look amazing, good to know about the gorilla Grimm, too! Oh gosh, didn't realize it came out around the same time as the Harambe attack!!!! :O Ahhh I like that theory about the statue. Ohhh I loved 1 and 2 and can't wait for everyone to see my reaction!!! The instrumentals were great for sure - all the music on this show is top notch! Thank you so much for your kind words, that means a lot!!!! :D

Aside from the animation, the most important thing to take from this short is how much Ruby has grown in such a short period of time. She looks so much more confident and serious while fighting Grimm now, just like she did in her original trailer, but that wasn't really canon. She's also a lot better at using her semblance, she's faster, she can turn into petals for longer, maneuver mid-air and even split herself in two or three parts.

Good evening from France. For the graphics part, the team had changed the software, that's why it's actually more beautiful. At least with this character short, you will already have a glimpse of it ^^. I can't wait to see you react to the beginning of volume 4, I wonder if I would still discover new things with this re re re viewing. Ah and before I forget again, congratulations for this beautiful collection of figurines, including Yang (I had pre-order the next Weiss and Ruby from Good Smile company, which will be released next year). I really like the one from Shadowcat and Lockheed, I have it at home.

I absolutely love this character short and I agree about how amazing it is that rooster teeth can give us so much stuff in very little time. I think the fight is amazing and it's very interesting that it seems like Ruby is more skilled with her semblance since in this sho uses it a lot more and in different ways like forming a vortex towards the end. Now to talk about the animation before the animation was done in the Poser animation engine which they did a lot with and improved immensely with but during and at the end of volume 3 they realized they had reached the limits of what they could do with the engine and the limit of the engine itself so they decided to switch to the Maya animation engine which is actually a more professional animation engine that's industry standard. I'm glad they did and that you like the new animation because I think character designs have always been amazing but it's even better and more detailed now and any stiff animation that was in RWBY is now long gone. However I think the best improvement at least in my opinion are how the Grimm look now they are scarier and more detailed as well as having a really cool trail of red light coming off their eyes. Also the new Grimm in this is called a Beringel which is based on the scientific name of some gorillas and like it's been said it seems like this 1 is old and more intelligent based on how it fights like throwing a weaker Grimm at Ruby to try to get a good attack in and it's 1 of my favorite Grimm designs. Also this is dark and messed up but kind of funny but around when this came out the Harambe gorilla attack and death happened and so many people made jokes about it because of this Grimm design and honestly to me it's only funny because it was completely unintentional on Rooster Teeth's part. Also in my opinion and I don't think this has ever been confirmed but my theory on the statute has always been that it's symbolic and might be of a silver eyed warrior meant to show how different legends are spread throughout the world of RWBY. I love the hints of what's to come in volume 4 at the end of this character short and I can't wait to see what you thought of the 1st 2 episodes as well as what you will think of the rest of the volume. Also did you remember to Tissues nearby for the reaction to episode 1 and 2. Finally the instrumentals in this are great and I love how it has the rock feel of RWBY music but is also eerie and foreboding at parts which fits the tone the show has now. I loved the reaction and I can't wait for more. Keep up the great work Hime. :-) <3

Good morning Hime! I suppose it's ok to let you know now but Ruby's outfit going forward takes some pieces of the people she lost at the fall of Beacon. Her corset is much like what Pyrrha wore and the shirt is like the one Penny wore.
