WHO WAS THE BEST WRITTEN CHARACTER?

From the options below, who do you think was the BEST written character in Naruto (not including Shippuden of course!) Use the poll to vote for who you think is the best out of the options, but feel free to add in the comments someone I didn't include, that you think may have truly been the best written character in Naruto!

To me, "best written character" doesn't necessarily mean "character who changed the most" but rather, it's how a character's development (whether in a positive or negative way) is done Yes Gaara's change is the most drastic in a positive way, but that was only possible thanks to Naruto Naruto and Rock Lee haven't changed that much, indeed. But knowing what they've been through, it's actually impressive they've remained the same. Just as impressive as Gaara's development imo As for Sasuke, his development in a negative way was very well done imo, because although he joined Orochimaru, he didn't become a villain in the process : he didn't leave the village out of hate nor did he want to kill Naruto. And even though he's always had the same goal, I don't think him leaving was obvious I didn't say because I don't know ^^ (my first thought was Sasuke and then Naruto)

2024-02-09 21:21:50 +0000 UTCHm, it’s a hard question to answer because I feel like each choice was giving a good level of attention, and went on a journey. I’d probably say Gaara though, only because I think out of all the boys he was the one that went through the most character growth. Naruto wants to get stronger and become hokage from the beginning, that doesn’t change by the end, his journey just solidifies that same mentality. Sasuke does go through a lot, but revenge has been his goal from the beginning, so even though everything that comes from the end of Naruto isn’t desirable, it doesn’t come across as a huge surprise when you really think about it. Rock Lee had a huge deterrent in his goal, but stayed very much on the same track throughout. Gaara is practically unrecognizable from his intro to his end in Naruto, but you understand the shift because his story is so very well done. What about you Yuki? You never said! And I hear you about polls lol

That speech he gave about you needing a purpose to live and so he chose to live only for himself and then to see the slight changes when he was fighting Kimimaro was really good. 2nd would be Naruto or Sasuke for me. Very interchangeable those 2 for next best written.
