Kamen Rider Saber 1x07 "The Sword of the King Lies in Avalon." reaction & review

Hey everyone!  Here I am with Kamen Rider Saber episode 7!  Wow, we get a huge hero moment for Rintarou in this one, who honestly I was pretty worried about at the beginning of the ep!  Also, I absolutely loved the sequence that took place when we reach Avalon...the whole "if you imagine something, you'll see something" fits so well with the theme of the show!  The whole scene with who I'm assuming was King Arthur was awesome - and now there's a new book and a new sword!!!!!!!  What an epic sequence!! But, what is this ordeal that the person spoke of?!  Don't we have enough ordeals going on in this show, at episode 7?!?!?  Can't wait to see what's next!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Jenny! :D I think it's a good theory that Buster was spending time with his kid! I love that they're bringing King Arthur into this so heavily. The "king" part didn't automatically register with me until you mentioned it! I really hope I'm onto something with Calibur and Excalibur!!! XD Three Volumes is awesome! It definitely warrants some hype!!!!!! Thanks for clarifying that the training room is called Liberation! It seems intense. The dual henshin was really fun as well! Really loving this show so far! Can't wait to see more :D Thanks for watching!!

Episode 7... It's good. Kento's reaction to Caliber and when even hearing Touma mention him makes sense. We see Buster. I'm still of the opinion that he was spending family time with his son Sora. Yes, the king is Arthur. That was indeed the first thing I thought of when I saw "the king sleeps" and "Avalon" mentioned. Connection between Caliber and Excalibur? Interesting, hadn't thought of that. Smacked myself on the forehead the moment you mentioned it. May I just say... Three Volumes is so dang cool!!! It looks great and the water powers coming with it that he didn't have before (aka stuff like the water mirror that reflected Medusa's eyes) caught my dang attention. If this is a similar way with the other riders, especially Espada, my hype is through the roof. That training room Rintaro used is called the Liberation. Anything else I want to add... Oh. I enjoyed the teaming up and dual Henshin with Ogami and Ren (Buster and Kenzen). That was also cool. Awaiting your response, Mei.

Oh and by the way, I'm not sure if you've seen Gaim or not but will you be reacting to the new Gaim Gaiden? I think TV-Nihon has released the first part (of 2 parts I believe) but I'm having trouble downloading it at the moment :/

Don't you think is strange that they obscured Calibur's face when we have already seen it? Hmmmmm. Also just so you know that there's a week break for Kamen Rider and Super Sentai after episode 8 due to some sporting event. Wait, that'll mean that you'll be able to catch up and no longer be 1 episode behind, right? Very exciting!

Also, that Medusa remind me a bit of the one from Wizard...

This episode quite an impact, but not that much. I mean, Kenzan still doesn't have his own library scene. And Saber's DragonArthur doesn't have either, but Blades got his own library of water this time, so I thinks that it's ok. And now Blades got his full gear upgrade! Using the "Heavenly Pegasus", "Lion Chronicle", and "Peter Fantasista", he transform into Kamen Rider Blades: Fantastic Lion! With all those Water Flowing Nagare Books, he has a first full combo and seems to strong enough to deal with the Megido General: Zoous now. And we also got a transformation scene of Calibur, which is... still, he doesn't have his own library of darkness... And we still don't know who he actually is, since he is covered by several ray of light and the darkness from his blade, Angokuken Kurayami or the Darkness Blade of Dark Moon. And, if you remember, they told us that Calibur is Fukamiya Hayato, Kento's father, but he's seems to have got long hair, and the one transform into Calibur we seen seems to have short hair. Also, it seems like he wearing a suit, not the swordmen robe. So, that's open up a new mystery. Who is he?! Anyway, there is a bit error that when 2 dragons appear, no book inserted into Touma's driver, so why there's a dragon summoned? Well, it's also seems that the King of Arthur book is still not revealing its full power, but what makes me upset is, the Arthur side of Saber doesn't have a mask! Normally, a side that the book is inserted should form a mask. Saber's Dragon has a red mask at his right side of face, while Espada has Yellow one on the left, and since Blades using the middle slot, he gains the lion themed upper mask. Saber and Espada also get their upper mask when they used Storm Eagle and Needle Hedgehog, but Arthur's is missing. Well, I have some information for you. By the time this episode is aired, they announced the new line of CSM Sengoku Driver from Gaim's series. And also, they have a new Gaiden released! It's Kamen Rider Gridon vs Kamen Rider Bravo or something, I just can't remember it much. But the stars of the gaiden is absolutely Gridon and Bravo. Since this is a huge event of Gaim, the next episode of Saber gonna have an easter egg from Gaim! You can try looking for it in the next episode! If you watch Gaim before, it should be obvious. So, that's its for today, until next time! Fun Fact: There are several books use to open the gate to Avalon, but some of them are never seen before! Yes! They reveal us a new set of Wonder RideBook that never used! I doubt that will they use those book in the future? But I got a list of the books shown at that scene. (They are all Story Wonder RideBook) 1. Kirin ni Ongaeshi (Giraffe's Return of a favor): It's seems to be based on the story of Tsuru no Ongaeshi (Crane's Return of a favor). The original was about the crane who saved by a man, so it's return as a woman to serves as his wife for the mercy it got from the man, but soon left because the man find out who it is. This version is change from a crane into a giraffe, which is seems to be a campaign from the toy shopping mall in japan, Toy R Us, which has giraffe as their mascot, and its avaliable now! 2. Hoshin Kamen Engi (Masked story of Investiture of the Gods): It's is the limited Wonder RideBook that was released in China before as a real toy line. It is based on Investiture of the Gods and can be used by Saber to turns into DragonHoshinEngi, but this form is just a theoretical form, so it might not appear in the series. The giraffe one above is on the same, there is a theoretical form, but never used. 3. Dai Shogun Momo-Ichiro: Momo 4. Dai Kengo Urashima-Jiro: Ura 5. Dai Yokotsuna Kin-Saburo: Kin Where is Ryu? Those book are based on the story of Momotaro, Urashimataro, and Kintaro, same as the imagins from Den-O, and they are even have the same format of cover and same main color as the imagins! It's a shame that they don't have a Ryu one... 6. Sarukani Wars: Based on the wars of monkey and crab, I'm not sure what its called in English. 7. Osha Jisou San: Something about Ojisou san wore cloths. Kinda something japanese. 8. Bakusou Usagi to Kame (Roaring Rabbit and Turtle): Rabbit and Turtle play Mario Kart! Well, it's pretty different from the original Rabbit and Turtle one. 9. Tsuki no Himesama (Princess of the moon): Well, obviously, the story of Princess Kaguya of the moon. 10. Issun Bushi (1-inch Warrior): I have no idea what this is... It's seems to be something with a 1 finger boy or something... They said all will released as toy within this year, but I don't know much, maybe a rumor. And I don't know will it be use in the series? Should try looking for them... Wonder RideBook -Tenkuu no Pegasus (Heavenly Pegasus): A Nagare (Flowing Water) God Beast Wonder RideBook used by Rintaro with other 2 to become "Fantastic Lion" "There once was a God Beast with pale wings that shined down from the sky." "When the pale wings and Suiseiken Nagare meet, the azure blade soars in the sky." - Jaaku Dragon (Evil Dragon): The non-element book seems to be associate with the Angokuken Kurayami (Darkness Blade of Dark Moon), so I assume it's a Dark Moon God Beast Wonder RideBook. It is based on the Evil Dragon that appear in the tale of Arthur, maybe? I heard that there are the Good and Evil one appear in the tale. Anyway, Jaaku is formed from Ja (Evil) and Aku (Demon) in Japanese, and those words also used by Ark from Zero-One. Well, Ark = Aku in Japanese. "It was only one beast which birthed the darkness that once enveloped the world." "Evil Read! Get go under conquer than get keen. (Moonlight! Darkness! Slash!) Jaaku Dragon! Dark Moon translation! Stealing the light, the jet-black sword ruthlessly rules the dark dragon!" - King of Arthur: The Legendary Story Wonder RideBook with no element presented. It's absolutely base on the tale of King Arthur. It summon a new massive sword KingExcalibur. "A certain knight king swings down the sword of poetic justice."
