Kamen Rider Saber 1x05 "My Friend Is the Swordsman of Thunder." reaction & review
Added 2020-10-14 11:27:32 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here I am with Kamen Rider Saber episode 5! So we finally find out more about Kento's past...!!! And the person close to him that did this great betrayal 15 years ago...!!! I was way off on my guesses haha, but I'm glad to have some more facts about past events on the show. I loved watching Ogami having a little moment with Kento, and I enjoyed watching Touma and Kento try and figure out how to express themselves with each other in a way that would be helpful to the other. We even got to see a bit more of our bad guys bickering in this one!! Can't wait to see more and find out more along the way!

For real! I like Touma more and more each ep, and Ogami is definitely the man lol, I so love his dad-ish nature with everyone!!!! I can tell he'll be one of my faves! :D

You know, I hadn't picked up on those parallels, but that's very true! Thanks for the heads up on the name! Also, I think you have a point that it's more yellow than gold, some of the brighter yellow looked like it could be shiny/glowing gold but that might just be me lol! :D

Also, the Demon Slayer vibes are real lol!! Hmm, I wonder if maybe Calibur is being controlled? Also, 10+ Riders is a lot! I'll be curious to see if they do that! I can't wait to see the next Wonder RideBook!!! Very cool fun fact also, nice to know the name origin, and the differences in the kanji between Zero One's Ikazuchi and the Ikazuchi used here! Thanks for all the info!!

2020-10-14 23:17:05 +0000 UTCAh, episode 5. You know, I thought I was going to love Kento the moment he came into the show on that magic carpet. I was right! I enjoyed that moment between him and Buster. It feels like Buster’s trying to connect with him on a deeper level, perhaps as a surrogate father? After all, he is the king of parenting. To me, it also seems as if they’re trying to make parallels with Buster & Caliber and Touma & Kento, no? Both pairs were/are best friends and it feels like Buster’s trying to make sure the latter pair don’t end the way his did. Is it just me or am I looking way too deep into it? Anyway, Kento’s rider name is Espada. Gold? Really? I always thought it was a yellowish color.

2020-10-14 16:57:15 +0000 UTCAlright! We have came to the episode 5 today. Well... even they have improve in acting process, but it seems that they are making obvious errors this episode. First, I have to say that this is one bad point that they didn't focus on calling the rider name. The yellow rider transformed by Kento is named "Kamen Rider Espada" using the "Raimeiken Ikazuchi" which is the "Lightning Sword of Yellow Thunder" with the "Lamp do Alagina" Wonder RideBook in the far right slot. I think they never mention the name in any episode before and after, but they did in the official declaration of the new series in July and in the Telebi magazine. Also, since Espada used Seiken SworDriver, he should have the sword name announced scene after his transformation, but he didn't. Also, they didn't match the Saber pose with the 2 Wonder RideBook's interfaces, which seems to make me feel upset. And one big mistake, they didn't tell us what Rintaro and Mei do together during the episode, when Desast appear before them, Mei seems to be wet by unknown reason that she has to wore Rintaro's robe. That's really unreasonable. So, let's talk about something else. Espada's finishe move which called "Trueno Destroder" really seems like Zenitsu's Thunder Breathing: First form, but the double slash version instead. So, we have a rookie swordsman as the main protagonist, and then he has his senior who is the water swordsman, he also has his friend who is the thunder swordsman. And having the lower moon five as one of the villain organization. Are these all making the series became Kimetsu no Saber? Those are really seem similar though. And about Carlibur, now its confirmed that he is Kento's father, anyway, they did announced this information since the period between episode 4 and 5, which I think they didn't do well in the story telling process about this. Anyway, someone has a theory that Carlibur might now get controlled by someone since he's talk not so much, or he might have his unrevealed goal and having his own group of Kamen Riders, remember that they have rumors that this series will have more than 10 riders? It seems to be too much if they're all with Sword of Logos. But those are all still theories. All we can do is to stay tuned with every episodes. Next episode gonna introduced one of my favorite Wonder RideBook! You might surprise to REALxEYEZ what is is. Fun Fact: As with the naming scheme of all the Saber Riders, Espada is named after the rapier, known to the Portuguese and Spanish as espada ropera, which literally means "dress sword", as it was often used as an accessory for clothing, either as fashion or self-defense. And the "Ikazuchi" in his sword element is kinda different from Zero-One's Ikazuchi, while the Zero-One's spelled with only one kanji and meaning "Thunder", Espada's Ikazuchi spelled with two kanjis and meaning "Yellow Thunder".
