Vinland Saga 1x11 "A Gamble" reaction & review
Added 2020-10-12 11:36:06 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here's my reaction to episode 11 of Vinland Saga! I just can't help but be entertained by Thorkell more and more each time I see him! Here, we have some more scenes of Thorkell just dying to fight someone - even to the point that he releases his hostages in order to bait some people into battle. But Askeladd's got a bigger, better plan and decides to burn it down - literally - so that Thorfinn can go save the Prince. We see Thorkell excited to see his new "friend" again, and he even puts it together who his dad was...!! Now he'll want to fight him even more, sheesh! Guess we'll see what happens from here...!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

LOL, if you think about it, so many of us are poised to be modern day vikings thanks to things like wrestling, MMA, boxing, etc....!! Thors vs. Thorkell would be the fight of the century for sure!!! XD

I suppose that's true about having a concept like that before going into war - seems like people would be a lot more motivated to go into battle with that idea! Ohhhh that is a really clever point about both Jesus and Thor using hammers haha, I never would have thought of that, but it's true! Thanks for clearing that up about Helga. So true, we've brought Vinland up a handful of times and here we are at the halfway point of the series! I'm not sure about the manga, but that's a good theory that maybe we'll see something about it to close the season. Guess we'll see!!!!! :D

So a prince or princess might not have much of a choice about how to live their life. Ragnar clearly cares about Canute as a person, not just Royalty.

2020-10-12 17:22:03 +0000 UTCWell...i guess Canute is still a guy, a very feminine one, but even so i was not the only one who thougt it might be a woman. If you are sent to war, and you are told that if you fight well and die, you will get to meet beautiful immortal woman, who take you in their arms and guide you to a hall, where you drink, fight and f--- every day until ragnarok. I would also want to belive that there is something for me in it going to war. A fight between Jesus and Thor would be fun, because both would have a Hammer for their weapon. Jesus being a carpenter like Josef. An helga was the daughter of the Chief of the Jormskier vikings, or what ever their name was . We nearly are at the half time point of the series, and Vinland was only discussed at the very beginning. I have feeling we will see it maybe at the end of the season? I dont know if the manga is completed or if its still going.
