Star Wars: The Clone Wars 1x16 "The Hidden Enemy" reaction & review

Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction and review of Clone Wars 1x16!  Wow, we get a "whodunnit" kind of episode here, with a real moral twist at the end!  I honestly thought throughout the ep that maybe it would turn out to be none of them, and they all got suspicious for nothing.  But the reveal at the end brings up some really great points about the clones....for example, what choice, if any, are they given in fighting in this war?  If they're not, what does that say about our side, the good guys??  Once again, we're in the middle of a moral and philosophical conundrum!!!!  Love the way this show does that!  Great stuff!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Yeah I see what you mean!!! I just watched an ep recently that made me question the morals again, so it's definitely a recurring theme. So true about the story!!!!!!!! :D

I don't think controlling disposable people is a morally grey issue at all, but a straight forward black & white. As the subject of slavery keeps coming up in Star Wars; it's likely intentional. Through the Clone Wars & Prequel movies; the moral clarity of the Jedi, is definitely in question. This can make the confusion of grey & dark force users seem more compelling at times. I always appreciate it when the overall story is smarter & wiser than viewpoint characters we may identify with:)

Ahhhh okay! So that's their actual order. Good to know! And that's interesting about the weapons! Hmmm, interesting about the hint with the ship as well - is it an ep I've already seen, since it's all out of order?? Not sure! Yes, this definitely brings up a moral grey area about the clones and how the Jedi employ their battle skills. Hmmm, never thought about that, that someone has planted that seed of doubt and mistrust in the clones!!! I wonder who that could be!!!! >.<

Right!!! I should have known! >.< Yes, that's a great analogy for the opening words of wisdom. And I know the ones you mean! They're not really fortunes, but still poetic and sound!

Melissa Moore

This is the same planet as the Clone Wars movie, where we see Ahsoka for the first time. So they is is before the movies. One of the many episodes that is out of chronological order. And as your remembered they go pushed back in the movie, loosing a bunch of heavy weapons explains that. Oh i think i know what the next episode is, the ship ventress enters at the end, might give you a hint what kind of planet we see her next. One of the few episodes where the main focus is on the clones them selfs. So the voice actor basicly speaks to him self the entire time. :D Having living people that are only born to fight, fighting beside Jedi, does raise some morale questions. As every living being is part of the force, every death is felt, so jedi dont send the clones to their death. But as Slick said, they dont really have the freedom to realy choose. One might think that there was someone who planed all this death, doubts, mistrust around the Jedi, so they will be unseen. But that cant be, right? :

Of course the traitors' name is "Slick!" And about the opening pearls of wisdom I always think of them like the messages you get in fortune cookies. You know the ones where it's not actually a fortune but they do work as pretty solid life advice.
