Kamen Rider Den-O: Final Countdown Movie - reaction & review

Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction and review of the Final Countdown movie!  Ohhhhh I LOVED it!  Anything Den-O was going to be fine by me, but to think we got a SPOOKY Halloween-type atmosphere, here at the start of Halloween season...!!!  It was just an added bonus!  It was really fun watching everyone do the whole time travel thing again!  You know there will be some great shenanigans in a plot like this!  Also, we get to meet....Ryotaro's grandson?!?!  Wasn't thrilled with the way he felt about his grandpa at first (I wish Ryotaro was MY grandpa!!!) but he grew on me, and seeing future Den-O and Teddy was pretty awesome!  It's also really good to know that Ryotaro is happy and safe in the future, with a family and everything!  I cherished every moment of seeing my baby boy on screen this time, as I know this will be his last appearance for a while!  This one definitely had a "farewell" feeling about it.  Sighs!!!  I don't wanna let this series go!  Awesome movie, enjoy!  ~ MH

This is my favorite Den-O movie, and trust me... there's some FIERCE competition, but this manages to stand a head above the rest. It just does a great job showing us how much the main cast has grown, yet at the same time introducing us to a new character for the team. It sucks that Ryotaro had to take more of a back seat in this movie(especially considering it's the actor's last movie), but at least they solve it by having him be the one who needs rescuing. If this was in the beginning of the series, I think the Den-Liner crew would be finished... but due to everyone's strength, they managed to pull through. It's kind of sad that Yuto needed to also be kind of out of the picture for them to develop Kotaro's character a bit more, but it kind of needed the time considering where his character starts off from. I think it paid off in the end. I'm real glad that this movie was made. Den-O/Kiva was a fun movie(though I certainly didn't think so at the time. xD), but this really does feel like a proper send-off. Not to mention that while the villain is pretty shallow, I do appreciate that he did make the stakes pretty personal for the Den-Liner crew compared to the last movie. Not to mention that fantastic climax where ALL the Den-O riders fight together. We got Ryutaros and Yuto BACK TO BACK, you got Momotaro and Ryotaro setting up Kotaro's Finisher on the main bad guy for a triple finisher, and you got Kintaros saying 'Dynamtic Chop' before he does his finisher instead of after like he usually does. xD Not to mention that this movie has my hands-down favorite version of Climax Jump. Hits me right in the same feels as 'Nevermore' from Persona 4 does, but somehow also makes me PUMPED. xD

FINAL-LY! CAN I TALK ABOUT NEW DEN-O? I'VE BEEN DYING TO TALK ABOUT NEW DEN-O. I never thought Liner form would be able to be topped in terms of Den-O Rider designs, but this guy came out of NOWHERE for this movie! You know how Den-O/Zeronos looks before they turn into Sword/Rod/Axe/Gun/Altair/Vega form? I think this is my favorite default 'Plat-Form' look all because of the color scheme, which makes New Den-O look like he can kick all sorts of butt before he gets into Strike form. It honestly wouldn't look out of place in VR Troopers, and I dig it. Strike Form is pretty damn good though, from the color scheme all the way down to the deisgn. From what I hear they took one of the concept art for Liner Form that didn't get used in the final design and used it for New Den-O, but I haven't been able to find a source for that information.... so take it with a handful of salt. However it took a few nitpick kind of things that I didn't like about Liner form and improved on it, and fixed one issue I had with most of the other Den-O and even Zeronos forms... IT GAVE NEW DEN-O AN HONEST TO GOODNESS RIDER KICK. It's a really nice look, and I'm so glad that Kotaro while starting out as a brat(like Yuto), ended up becoming someone I want to see more of. I just wish I could talk about the suit more, but uh... spoilers. As for Teddy, I think he's neat but he's pretty quiet. Though considering our usual cast of Imagin, it was probably about time we had a more quiet boy. xD I got more to say about the movie, but I want to watch the reaction first. I'll be replying to this post with another one as a continuation of this post as soon as I'm done.

Man did that movie make me tear up once more! Now on to the The Onigashima Warship movie!

This movie was better than I remembered! And New Den-O Strike form!! He does grow on you even if he's a bit of a brat-- His actor was in a series of Prince of Tennis musicals before (?) Final Countdown, and you can see him in this song (You can also see Kiva's actor XD) https://youtu.be/MNCuJ94Uq_Y if you're interested/bored XD

Gottischan

Oh you HAVE seen Kotarou. He is a cameo in Decade, just a moment before Tsukasa goes to another AR world though

Aro

You should know that being a kamen rider is hereditary if your a rider chances are your son or grandson will also be one
