Watchmen 1x09 "See How They Fly" reaction & review

Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction and review of episode 9 of Watchmen!  Whoa, here we are at the finale...!  I'm kinda not surprised that Jon is really gone (well, not all of him I suppose).  It was interesting that even Will's part in this was something he and Jon came up with together.  Oh and let's not forget Lady Trieu's big reveal in this - WOW!  Was glad her daughter/mom made it out okay, I liked her!  Wonder if we will ever hear from her again.
Laurie's story really came full circle at the end, with her making the decision to not let Adrian off the hook this time.  It seems like there's a tiny chance of a family relationship growing between Will and Angela.....and let's not forget that end scene....!!!  He said the walking on water would be important later!!!!  XD  Can't believe they would cut me off there, but it was totally effective!  What an awesome series this has been!  It's been an interesting superhero/sci-fi story, and an even better commentary on society.  I hope you've enjoyed watching it along with me!  ^_^  ~ MH

Ohhhhh I'm just now putting together the lyrics from that song with Angela eating the egg!!!!!!!!! XD The Dreamland Theatre scene was amazing! So true, she finally set it all free there, and the themes about the mask come full circle - that healing can't happen under a mask. Ah!!!! Your closing paragraph was so good, I think they should have put it in the show!!!!!!!!! :'D Very well said! Thanks for watching along with me and for all your insights!!!!!!!!! :D

Right!! Wow, I had no idea how critically acclaimed the series was - so true that there's no need to try and improve upon something that's already perfect (or close to it) the way it is! Ah yes, he did change to Cal right before, for an added sting! Will's speech was awesome too. Hahaha they have such a great command of music that fits the setting/scenes on this show!!!!!!! Great move for sure!

"I am HE as YOU are HE as YOU are ME And WE are all together See how they run like pigs from a gun SEE HOW THEY FLY." The title comes from the famous I am the Walrus, by the Beatles, which plays directly after Angela eats The Egg. He is the Egg Man. She is the Egg Man. We are the Walrus. ;) I don't really have to much to explain about this episode because it is just...all out there. I will say that the Dreamland Theatre scene between Will and Angela is probably one of my favorite scenes in all of media. Notice how controlled Angela's been this entire time. That control has been slipping continuously. And with Will's understanding, she lets it all free. You can't heal under a mask. You can't hide your injuries before they're healed. At its heart, Watchmen has always been about broken people trying to fix a broken world. Watchmen lives in the grey areas of love, morality, justice, and redemption, just like humanity does. We are the Walrus. See how we fly. <3

Yes, the statue of Veidt was Veidt all along. There are no plans to make a second season. Loved your reaction :-)

They really tied up most of the loose ends in this one. Of course they left just enough mystery for the imagination. It's pretty much set in stone that this is a one season deal. They were talking about a possible season two but at a certain point why bother? They can go on to new projects now. I mean this show was nominated for over 20 emmys so I am sure there will be plenty of work to come. Jon dying always gets me, and the fact that he changed to Cal right before, ouch. Another favorite for me is the speech Will gives in the theater, powerful stuff. And of course they had to finish off by playing I am the Walrus after Angela ate the egg. Cheeky move!
