Kamen Rider Den-O & Kiva: Climax Deka Movie reaction & review
Added 2020-09-02 11:59:16 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Den-O Days aren't over just yet - say hello to my first post-Den-O movie reaction, woohoo! I had a ton of fun with this movie! Police DenLiner?! HECK YES!!! Where is the petition to make that a nighttime tv drama please?! I would so watch a show about that! :P The plot was fun and it was cool to see some darker elements of Kiva mixed in to the aesthetic. Speaking of Kiva, he wasn't in this much, but I liked him from what I saw! He has doe eyes and can make an entire castle with one of his battle moves, what's not to love?! The detective character was fun to follow too! Dark Den-O was pretty sweet and all the action scenes were really well done. All in all, it was just really nice to see all my friends in action together again! So does Airi *know* everything now?! Also, are we gonna talk about Urataros-Yuuto?!?!?! :O Lol! I had a blast with this movie and can't wait to watch a few more with you guys! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hmm, I see your point about this being an elongated special! Maybe you're right that they weren't sure where to take it at first, and just wanted something out there in theaters immediately after the series. Lol yes, poor Kiva was in this for all of 5 minutes (tops)!! Interesting that this one does capture the Den-O spirit so well though, but I see what you mean about post-Decade team-ups. I can't wait to see the other movies!!!!!!! That's awesome that the third bat belt is your fave Kiva character!!!! That makes me wanna know more haha. Awwww I knew we were coming to the end of Ryotaro's appearances soon!!! I will enjoy the heck out of him, thanks for the heads up!!!

2020-09-03 12:00:48 +0000 UTCAh yes, Suzuki Kazuya... or should I say KAMEN RIDER KUUGA FROM KAMEN RIDER DECADE!(Same actor, just not character. o: ) His character(and his dad) were made for this movie, so they don't tie into Kiva. However that one guy that was all head over heels for that one girl was pretty weird. Wonder what his backstory is... 🤔 I did like this as it's own fun little thing, but it really feels like they were strapped for production time. Like they had the resources and desire among the whole cast and crew to make a fun little Den-O movie, but they just had trouble on coming up with ideas on what to do with Den-O after the series ended. xD I dunno if that's the case since I'm just guessing, but whatever the case *actually* is.. it's fine. This just feels like a TV-Special that turned into a movie at last minute. xD I wish they didn't promote Kiva being in this movie as hard as they did. This is pretty much a Den-O/Kiva movie if they took out the Kiva story. However at this point in time, I don't think they had really much of an idea on what to do with a Rider team-up since they never bothered to do so with the (Pre-Decade)Heisei era. If they made it post Decade, I feel like this could have been a much more solid movie. However, I don't think any other movies(other than maybe Episode Blue and Yellow) really capture THIS exact feel from Den-O. Like in a way it's a last hoorah of early Den-O when the biggest concern was just the Monster of the Week and the one-off character affected by it. Not to try and hype you up TOO much for the future movies, but if you had fun with this movie, you're going to have a BLAST with the others. ...Also one final thought, but I think Kivatt the 3rd(Kiva's bat belt) is unironically my favorite character from Kiva. xD Next week: Kamen Rider Den-O's TRUE Finale. You better enjoy Ryotaro in Final, because you won't see his actor after Final until that one clip from that Z-IO movie. :c

2020-09-02 17:21:40 +0000 UTCThat detective guy is played by an actor who will appear in Kamen Rider Decade later, and his dad was played by an actor who's been in Kamen Rider Blade. :D And the cassanova guy in the past is a Kiva character (and his actor is in Build too >.>)

2020-09-02 13:48:01 +0000 UTCRight, I forgot about that intro. In Kiva episode 1, Kivat-Bat is already with Wataru and if I remember correctly, how that happened wasn't explained at all. What Kivat told in this intro might not be 100% correct but you can take it as a short backstory
