Kamen Rider Den-O 1x49 "The Climax Goes on No Matter What" reaction & review

Hey everyone! Here's my reaction and review of episode 49 of Kamen Rider Den-O! Here we are at the climax...!!! Our last mystery is revealed, and WOW, did I find myself wondering how I didn't figure out who the baby was!!!!!! They practically spelled it out for me!!! >.< So many great triumphant scenes with our friends showing up to help, and in true Den-O fashion, that sad, somber moment at the end of the battle is perfectly balanced out with wacky Imagin fun! They wrapped things up JUST in time for those credits to roll, so I'll be really excited to see the movies to see what Airi is up to and how she feels about everything, and just in general what everyone will be up to now! WHAT AN AMAZING JOURNEY!!!! I can safely say that Den-O is tied with W for no. 1 spot in my heart!! <3 This series has been so much fun, and I loved how they balanced silliness with legit drama and action. Thank you all so much for joining me!!!! :'D ~ MH

Right?!!? Awwwwww I'm so happy that Den-O Day made you smile!!!!!!!! It was always a lot of fun for me too (you could probably tell lol)! Fortunately, we still have a few more Den-O Days coming with the movies!!!!!!!! So happy you liked watching along with me! ^_^

Thanks so much for the info! The more I read, the more I think I need to watch the trilogy!! Are they episodes, or like actual full-length movies? If they are episodes, I could probably watch all three in a week! I've seen OOO, so I'd probably get the OOO references in the Saraba movie, but it's good to know it's not a must-see!!! I really wanna watch them all, I just have to be choosy right now so I don't have to put off a new toku series too long!!! Thank you so much for the help!

Melissa Moore

Awww thank you!!!!! I'm so happy to hear that! It's been such a fun journey watching this series and I'm glad you had fun watching with me! ^_^ Thanks for the info on the OOO/Den-O movie! I'll have more details coming on which movies I'm watching soon!!

Melissa Moore

Thank you so much for all the info! I just filmed Climax Deka, the reaction is coming next week! I think the next one I watch will be Final Countdown, but I'll have more details on that in the coming weeks! I really wanna watch them all, some of them I might film later on after I've already started another toku series!

Melissa Moore

Hahaha!!!! Is it possible that the Mole Imagin are the ones who started the Steampunk trend?! :O I figured they would do a lot of wrapping up in the subsequent movies!! It was a really good last ep, I agree! It was incredibly sad about Sakurai, I honestly thought maybe he'd show back up and they'd live happily ever after. >.< But it was a fitting end for his character and all he went through to protect the people he loved. And true that we do still have Yuuto! OMG when Deneb and Yuuto were hugging!!!!!!!!!! D': Sorry about Patreon deleting comments, that's been a thing for a while and I'm not sure how to stop it! If it happens to you again, just let me know because I get all the comments in my email and I can paste it here for you!

Kiva may very well be the next one! I usually make decisions for my next series via poll, so please keep an eye out for posts asking for recommendations and then a poll, to see if Kiva makes it to the list! Oh my gosh, thank you so much for explaining that about Kai! I actually didn't catch that, that he was losing it because of losing previous versions of himself. So in a way, it was kind of like what was happening to Yuuto? Except he was literally losing himself instead of others' memories.

Melissa Moore

I just watched it and as fun as the Kiva parts were, it was seriously like a few minutes of actual Kiva screentime lol! I will be making a post for recommendations on the next toku series soon, then I'll take all that info and put it into a poll!!! Glad you'll be looking out for it! :D

Melissa Moore

I can't believe we're technically done. How am I supposed to smile without my Den-O days? 😭😭😭😭

Also I should point this out since other people are starting to recommend it: Honestly after the Super Den-O Trilogy, there's no need to check out the rest of the Den-O movies for the Patreon. Den-O/OOO is a fine movie, but it's not exactly a Den-O focused story. It's just focusing more on the celebration of the Kamen Rider Franchise, not to mention that you might need information of the Kamen Rider OOO series since this WAS it's spring crossover movie, and he's actually featured a lot more. Of course that's all up to you(once again, I'd completely and totally understand if you don't want to check out like 6 movies in a row. xD), I just wanted to let you know that you could easily skip the OOO/Den-O movie without really missing anything in terms of character growth or any sort of plot progression of Den-O's post series' "plot". ....I still strongly recommend the Super Den-O trilogy tho.

This has been such a wonderful journey together with you!! I love Den-O so much and you reminded me why I do *_* I'd say there's an OOOs/Den-O movie too I don't remember the name, but that one should be watched after Episode Blue or you won't get it at all... But it's a good movie

Gottischan

Climax deka is not really Important to the story but it's a fun movie to watch and I recommend watching. The next one is final showdown which is the last movie the actor for ryutarou is in, this one is the most important to watch. The next one is the oragami warship which decade makes an appearance in and this one gives us an origin of a main character, won't say which one. And finally is the chou den-o trilogy movies which are also a must to watch they are basically movies that star one of the characters and is based on them the whole movie. This is the order you should watch them, red-blue-yellow

So about the movies, so you can get a general summary of each one

I hope you're not tired of the Mole Imagin(the Steampunk looking guys), because the Mole invasion has already begun. xD Since there's so many Mole Imagin suits, they're pretty much guaranteed to show if they decide to use monsters from Den-O. Despite no real epilogue, it's actually a much better final episode of the series than I had previously thought. As you said they just managed to wrap everything up before the credits hit. It used to be kind of sad that there was no real epilogue... buuuuuut, that's where Final(and the Super Den-O movies) comes into play. I completely forgot Sakurai-San disappears though, and it's absolutely sad. I mean not only sad because he sacrifices everything for the safety of his child and the timeline, but we never even got a good look at that dude's face! At the very least Yuto has pretty much grown into the Yuto that I know and love, and always get SUPER hyped when he shows up(That scene where he's crying and hugging Deneb tho. ; ___ ; ) I'll probably save the rest of my thoughts for Final, not looking forward to making a self-chain of comments because Patreon's automatically deleting my posts if they're too long. T_T

Senpai

Also I'm not sure if this is elaborated on properly in other material, but the reason Kai was A) Suffering from some sort of illness and B) A massive fruit loop, was that thing where he'd show up to drop an Imagin off in the past was actually him sacrificing previous versions of himself, and that had a really bad impact on his...well, everything.

RezonAce

If you haven't seen Kiva before, why not make that the next one?

RezonAce

Honestly, it’s not a bloody Kiva crossover. Climax Deka is literally Den-O movie featuring Kiva. Glad you enjoyed Den-O. It’s one of the most beloved series. I’ll be waiting for that poll.

Jenny Chen

Also this movie isn't Den-O plot heavy but if you haven't seen OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders, I really recommend it. It's the 40th anniversary movie although I don't suggest watching until you at least seen Saraba Den-O.

BruhMomento22

It seems like the Kiva crossover is next in terms of continuity but you can hold that off until you plan on watching Kiva. Next in line is Saraba Kamen Rider Den-O: Final Countdown. Then that's followed by Cho Kamen Rider Den-O & Decade Neo Generations: The Onigashima Warship. Then finally, it's the Cho Den-O trilogy of movies.

BruhMomento22

I totally get it now lol! So, I thought folks were referring to her turning into a little girl when they said that. Now it's sooooo much worse though hahaha!!! There was a part of me that honestly thought she might be another younger copy of Airi in the same way that Yuuto is a younger copy of Sakurai. This was an even better twist!!!!!!

Melissa Moore

Now going back to the beginning makes it weird people shipped ryotaro and hana together

Sifer123

Also - see you next time for some Den-O movies coming soon, woohoo!!!!!! XD
