Winner of the Older Anime Poll!

I usually don't write an announcement like this, but I wanted to let you know what the scoop was with this one since it was a fairly close race! Parasyte won first place, with 49 votes; Hunter x Hunter was next at 42 votes, and right there behind it was Haikyuu with 41 votes! Since Haikyuu and Hunter x Hunter have getting LOTS of buzz for the last few polls, and they were almost tied, I won't be having another multi-option poll when I finish Parasyte (should be in November, as it's only one season I believe). We will talk more about just Haikyuu and Hunter x Hunter then, and get it sorted out as to which one will be next, or if you'd like to see both at one ep a week each or something. Just wanted to clarify it all since there was so much hype for even just the runners-up this time!!!! I hope you will all watch Parasyte with me and enjoy it, and look forward to either Haikyuu or Hunter x Hunter (or some hybrid of both) this fall!!!!

Yay! Yeah, I can see how it gets to be a problem if you're holding poll after poll, because inevitably there will always be one that a ton of people want to see that just doesn't make the cut! I'm glad you like this method better - now that I've heard from you guys on a few polls, it's easier for me to gauge where we can go from here! Glad to hear you'll be watching Parasyte with me, and that we are both going through shows like that and Clone Wars for the first time! That's interesting about Haikyuu, some shows/genres just aren't for everyone and that's okay! Glad to hear you'll give it another shot when the time comes though - who knows, maybe you'll be in the right place to get more into it this time! I'm really excited for Hunter x Hunter too! We've got some fun things coming in Hime Land!!! Thanks for coming along for the ride!!!!!!!!! XD

This method kind of dodges the problem that a few other reactors - and their fans - have had where one or two shows keep ALMOST winning polls but never quite sealing the deal, and so the people pushing for it just get more disappointed every time. The reactors SoS Bros and Assassination Classroom is a good example (which finally got in lol). I've never seen Parasyte, though I've only ever heard good things. I just never got around to it. Between this and Clone Wars, it's a season of new things for me. Very excited to start this one. As for Haikyuu, I've tried my very best to get into it. I was excited starting it and I watched up until the first game and just found it to be very well made, but it didn't inspire any passion in me. I'd always heard the joke about sports anime was you start watching with a skeptical and ho-hum mindset, but in short order it pulls out such raw emotion from you that you can't help but love it. It felt very weird to experience the exact opposite process. That said, I'll still give it another go with you when the time comes. Hunter x Hunter is my big favourite. Nothing much else to say there. Can't wait.
