Star Wars: The Clone Wars 1x02 "Rising Malevolence" reaction & review
Added 2020-08-19 11:47:11 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here's my reaction and review of Clone Wars 1x02! Feels like we got back to our main story a bit more in this one, and I liked it! I actually didn't realize at the time that we had seen Plo in the movies, so it was fun to get to flesh out a character here who we didn't spend much time with in the movies! It was an interesting moral dilemma they presented here, and even more interesting was the way that Anakin was trying to sort of "get around" orders....I was rooting for his idea in this case, but it's interesting to see some of the reasoning that might have led to some, err, bad decisions later on! Can't wait to see more! Enjoy! ~ MH

I'm glad you're watching Clone Wars along with me now! I agree, so many of Anakin's tendencies are spot on correct, admirable, efficient, etc. on this show - yet we know those are the same things that led to his eventual downfall. It's very interesting!!!

It is super interesting to see that the qualities that made Anakin one of the best generals in the Clone Wars, his attachment to his troops and inability to simply let them go as well as his tendency to disobey orders in order to act on his own judgement, are what ultimately cause his fall and corruption.
