RWBY 1x03 "The Shining Beacon, Part 2" and 1x04 "The First Step" reaction & review

Ah okay, thanks for the heads up on the after credits coming later on! Excited that everyone will be having their own arcs! Chapter 8 sounds amazing, can't wait to get there! Thanks for explaining the meaning of the opening song! I've been trying for the last few eps to listen more to the lyrics, but they're a bit hard for me to make out. I'm sure I'll get a better chance to listen to them more when I react to the soundtrack at the end of this volume! Thanks for all the info :D

Ah, Weiss is so absolutely delightful to watch even when she acts more upper class. Speaking of scenes appearing after the end credits, they only exist in the final episodes of each volume, except volume 7. You’re right that every character will have a story to them. I’ve heard people think Ruby doesn’t get much development but they should cut her some slack. Not everybody’s issues are external and shows them easily. I can’t wait for you to finally reach chapter 8. Both what happens in it and the song that plays is absolutely amazing, and dang it does that song constantly get me! Speaking of songs, I enjoy the one for volume 1. It’s saying how everybody thinks you’re just a child but are surprised to find there’s more to you than they thought, and that this will be the day you finally open up the door and have your dreams come true (or flower as the song actually says).

RWBY's already dear to my heart. It has my kind of comedy. Sorry to Yang ,but John is my favorite so far. You're absolutely right Xander/ Stoppable & I think a bit of Ron Weasley from Harry Potter. Can't wait for more fun with him & the rest!

Ahhh okay! Interesting! I would have never guessed about Pyrrha and Jaune! Hmm, I'll try and guess about Ren and Nora once I get to know them a bit more! Yes, I think I guessed that Ruby is based on Little Red Riding Hood! So cool about Weiss' name in German, that's a dead giveaway for sure! I could have never guessed Goldilocks for Yang either!!! Hmmm....curious about Blake! Thanks for the info!

Yay!!!!! So glad to hear it! I'm really loving Nora! I had no idea that was Monty voicing Ren, for some reason I thought Monty was much older so I was surprised (the voice sounds so young). I googled it just now and saw he was only in his 30s when he passed :( Sounds good on holding off on some Phyrra info for now!

Her name is Pyrrha Nikos, like in a pyrrhic victory. She's based on Achilles, and Jaune is based on Joan of Arc. Ren and Nora are also genderbends of historical/mythological figures, but I'll let you figure those out by yourself for now. I think you already know who Ruby is based on, or at least one of her inspirations; Weiss Schnee literally means White Snow in German; and Yang is based on Goldilocks, although there's a bit more to her, Blake's and Adam's inspirations. I'll hold off on those as well for now

Tuesdays and Thursdays are becoming my favorite days of the week. About the new characters introduced here. I'm pretty sure you're gonna love Nora she's just so... Nora. Ren was voiced by Monty in volumes (seasons) 1 and 2, His brother Neath took over from 3 forwards. Of Phyrra I can't say much without entering into spoiler territory.
