RWBY 1x01 "Ruby Rose" and 1x02 "The Shining Beacon" reaction & review

Ah, good to know about the weapons! I've heard that "It's also a gun" became a meme, too! That's a good question about World and Remnant - I hadn't heard of them before you mentioned them! So it sounds like they're to be watched around volumes 3 or 4? Maybe I'll wait till I get to that point and see how everyone feels about it then! Jaune and his motion sickness, so sad! I hear what you mean about Weiss; I can see how she would be relatable in a lot of ways, and I've seen enough drama/action/anime/etc. to know that just because a character gets off on the wrong foot with another character doesn't mean they're not a great character with lots of redeeming qualities! So I'm gonna hold off for now until I see more of what she's like. I'll look forward to seeing her sing in the show! I really love the music in the show so far, including the theme. About the end credits, I wasn't aware of how important the music in the show was until after I had filmed a few episodes and released them here - so I'll try to keep in mind that listening to the lyrics are important in the future! I'm not used to that aspect yet so folks might just have to bear with me on that one :)

One thing that I’m just gonna tell you now before you get further in. Beware that most weapons are also a gun. Now with that out of the way, do you plan to react to RWBY World or Remnant? They’re supplementary material that gives insight to the world of Remnant, especially the Kingdoms videos that happen between volumes 3 and 4. Character Shorts will also be a thing starting Volume 3. Ah yes, motion sickness... poor Jaune. Weiss does seem like a bit mean at first, yes, but I never hated her to be honest. If anything, she’s the character in this show that I can relate the most to. A plus that helped her in my eyes though, was that she actually sings IN the show. The opening for volume 1 is “This Will Be The Day” and it’s very fitting in my opinion. I was a bit miffed that you just talked right over about half the song, at the end of chapter 1.

Great reaction as always. Fun fact the reason the show has shadow people as the fans call them is due to budgetary restrictions. I also really like how the show is introduced because it does give you exposition but after the beginning you are mostly just thrust right in. Also I really love the character designs and weapons in this show and I can't wait for you to see more. Also be prepared for the meme of the phrase it's also a gun. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

I already commented this on YouTube, but I'll leave it here too. The music is by Jeff Williams, and his daughter Casey is the main singer. I totally recommend reacting to the soundtrack of each volume after you're done with a volume. The lyrics will give you a lot of insight on the characters and the story.

Right, the start of the show definitely has a different tone! I agree that it's fun! Very true that the weapons can be symbolic of real life attributes - what matters is what you do with the resources you have! I think the sword and shield are gonna be really cool, like you said, they're classics for a reason! :D

Nice!! Oh wow, I had noticed the similarity between Ruby and Red Riding Hood, but now I need to try and guess some others.....the girl from White is Snow White maybe? (Even though Snow White didn't actually wear all white lol). That's interesting that the creator was great with fight choreography, it really shows! That's such a shame he passed away though! Who took over the show? Thanks for all the info!

Okay as beautiful as the trailer was, I’m glad it’s not all wise aristocrats, reapers & etc. (at least that’s how I saw them at first glance). They have these nice friendly personalities humanizing them. This is already fun. And I don’t care if it’s not as outstanding to the eye as that beautiful crescent rose 🥀. , it’s how you use that shield and sword. You can’t beat the classics. 🗡 🛡 I personally think that’s a lesson ppl should take with them. 😌

I’m so glad u loved the chibi parts bcuz there’s actually a more comedy focused rwby chibi show I think it has season 3 spoilers so it’s best to watch it AFTER you’ve finished season 3 of the main series It’s VERY cute and VERY goofy and silly

You've met both my favorite (Roman Torchwick) and my least favorite (the girl in the red dress) villains in the show. Also, a bit more trivia about the show. Most if not all the characters are based on either mythological figures or fairy tales characters with Ruby/little red riding hood being the most obvious example. Part of the fun is guessing who is who so I'll let you guess the rest of them. 😉 About the fight scenes, Monty Oum the creator of RWBY was exceptionally talented in making fighting choreographies, his "Dead fantasy" series of videos on youtube being a good example. Sadly he passed away soon after RWBY's volume 2 was completed.

I also watched just the first 2 episodes long ago, i thought i would get around to it someday. Looks like thats today! :D The first thing i watched from Rooster Teeth, was the Series Red VS Blue, its a Halo parody show. Its so fun the the comedy is great. I have no doubt that they can pull the comedy off here, and so far they did very good. Lets see if they are good an different stuff.
