Rising of the Shield Hero 1x07 "The Savior of the Heavenly Fowl" reaction & review

We start off the ep with some excitement, as Naofumi and co. have to clean up the mess that Mr. Wonderful and his playmate made in the town where they introduced the "life-saving crop". [INSERT BRATTY EYE ROLL HERE!] Fortunately, it turns out pretty well for them, as Naofumi is able to use his potion enhance to save the sick people and tame the monster plants....and on top of it all, he even manages to normalize the crops so that he has yet ANOTHER business venture!
But that's just the first act; the second act is non-stop cuteness as Raphtalia and Filo battle it on for their kinda-master-dad's affections...?!?! Awkward! It's so wholesome though, with the two going on an adventure that brings them closer! Of course, Naofumi is entirely clueless as to any and all of their feelings...but I think they're starting to break down his walls of bitterness a bit! This might be my fave ep so far! Enjoy! ~ MH

And very true that it's not purely romantic either, but rather acknowledgement. Yes, thank you for that about the deed! Someone else mentioned that too so I think you're right!!!!!

2020-08-07 13:21:40 +0000 UTCI was also hoping they wouldn't take that romanticism route. Shows tend to do that. And I was hoping it wasn't going there because they make such a great tag team. But the more I think about it's kinda expected from Raphtalia. How could she not after so much has happened, and everything he's done & given to her. So I'll give this one a pass. But I'm glad that even though she has a thing for him, it's not so much romance. It's more of a "one day he'll acknowledge me" type kinda thing. If it wasn't for the circumstances that brought them together, in this particular show it probably would be mundane. But for rn he's acknowledging them as companions. And that's giving me hope for more focus on preparing for the second wave. 🐤 Also I think the deed gave him that cavern where he found the gemstone or maybe just granted him access into it. If you find out lemme know. 🙏
