When that happened, all I could remember was him calling her "Apothecary." I had to go back and check. I first looked at the sub and he doesn't address her, just hey, are you ok, or whatever he says in that moment. It's not until much later that he uses her actual name. I think I noticed the trend around episode 13 or 14. It's a big reveal that the dub spoiled early! Now the later scene won't have as big of an impact. :( Oh well, it's just a pet peeve, I guess, lol!

2024-09-07 23:04:55 +0000 UTCI think this is one of my favorite episodes. Everything comes together seamlessly and during the song at the end, everyone is bowing their heads to him. On top of revealing his noble status, his personally tending to a servant is unheard of. Apothecary Diaries has some amazing music! I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say that your impression at this time is right where mine was, too. There is one annoyance I have with this episode. Jinshi calls her Maomao after she saves him... in the dub, NOT in the original. There is a moment later in the series that is the first time he says her name. They kind of ruin that in the dub by having him say her name for the first time in that moment. I thought it was perfect when I first watched it, though. :)
