Knowing that it was by the same creators as One-Punch Man, I can definitely see lots of similarities...but at the same time, it really stands out on its own with fun characters and a great plot! I love supernatural stories so I was really happy to see what the series was all about! I already love Mob and I'm really amused by Reigen! Can't wait to see where it's all going and what the whole countdown is all about! Great ep, enjoy! ~ MH

Such a great point! It really is unique and psychedelic feeling, and they've done a great job with it! Even crazier that it's all hand drawn apparently!!!!!! I really love the look of the show! Thanks for the info :D

One Punch Man was over the top in a very serious and epic style of animation, to emulate how ridiculously detailed the manga looks. However while OPM had someone redrawing the web comics into manga form, Mob Pyscho 100 only had the webcomic. I feel like any other studio would try to emulate OPM, but Bones decided to go the complete opposite way in being over-the-top. It's trippy, it's psychedelic, and it manages to knock it out of the park just as hard as One Punch Man does.

2020-06-10 12:25:06 +0000 UTCYay!! I just watched the show like a month or two ago. I loved it! And yes, the manga for both One Punch Man and Mob Psycho were created by the same guy, ONE. Only difference is that Mob Psycho is also drawn by ONE. Where ONE originally started OPM as a web manga. And later worked with Yusuke Murata to re draw and continue drawing the manga once it was picked up by Shonen Jump. At least I'm pretty sure that's how the story goes. I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong lol So excited to see your reactions to this series!!

2020-06-03 12:29:48 +0000 UTCI don't really comment on videos all that often but while it's true that Mob Psycho 100 was animated by Studio Bones (like MHA), One Punch Man season 1 was animated by a different studio, Madhouse. So MP100 and OPM are written by the same creator but not animated by the same studio.

(pun intended) This is done by Studio Bones, who did make the first season of One Punchy Boi; they're also the studio who makes My Hero Academia, if that gives you any more indication of what you're in for. (it really doesn't though- most people agree that this is amongst Bones's best work and is highly regarded in the Sakuga community.) Also, Kageyama Shigeo is baby. He's right up there with Tanjiro and Izuku for the contenders for Best Boy. You're going to love him, and this show!

2020-06-02 14:56:29 +0000 UTCYes Studio Bones is the Animation Studio, They are the same as One Punch Man S1. Listen to the Lyrics of the OP closely, you can learn more about Mob that way. When i first watched it, the OP didnt hook me, but after a few episodes, and some stories, it got me. Another twist where the Main Character looks most of the time rather...bland. On the surface both Mob and Saitama look like the same, being both incredibly strong. But we saw with Saitama that has issues experiencing alot of feeling. But we saw he had outbursts. But Mob so far, well its one episode, he was even more calm. The only feeling i saw was he was distressed. Called out by his mother, the teacher, and not being really good at sport.
