I need to go back and watch the roar again so that I can see it with the perspective of Eren's anger not only towards the Female Titan, but towards himself, since that is such a major part of his rage in that moment!

hi hime! since a lot of people have been asking you about OVAs and it can be really confusing with how to watch it, and it's kind of hard to look up without getting spoiled so i made a chart: https://i.imgur.com/LtI3iw9.jpg basically each part of the series is in order, so s1 --> OVAs after s1 --> s2 --> OVAs after s2 etc. i marked the ones i think are important, the rest don't add much. obviously only react to the ones that are interesting to you. hopefully it isn't too messy

Personally, I love the part where he roars/growls up close on female titan's face. For me, that is much more intense than a punch or headbutt. it symbolizes Eren's anger and rage towards her but, above all, it symbolizes/reflects the pain he's going through and the anger toward himself for making the wrong decision. The same for the moment right where he transforms, You can hear both anger and pain in his absolutely epic roar. These small details(symbolism) are what really elevates a good scene to an amazing one in my opinion. Great voice acting, soundtrack and animation in this scene are also big factors, of course. Great reaction as always Melissa, looking forward to the next one!

Oh man if you thought mikasa hacking at the female titan was awesome I can’t wait till you see what the legendary Levi can do. Also, idk if it’s been suggested already I’ve only subbed today, but once then seasons over you should watch the two episodes of “No regrets.” Ova which is like a necessary Levi backstory and what he’s been through already which makes him have strong no expression reaction like he did with his teams deaths in this episode despite caring of course deep down.

LOL apparently not!!!!!! >.< Thanks for explaining about when the Female Titan was on the ground. Right?!?! I got so mad because he was just standing there like "ohhhh you just wait till I'm healed up"...!!! Like you have a jaw, feet, etc., just do anything my dude lol.

Yeah the whole power friendship trope doesn't really work on this show.😂 But the reason the Female Titan couldn't fight back on the ground was because she was still healing from the attacks from Squad Levi. But I agree with you I was like bite her, headbutt her, or spit in her good eye just do something.
