Attack on Titan 1x19 "Bite: The 57th Exterior Scouting Mission, Part 3" reaction & review

Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction/review of season 1, episode 19.  I loved getting to see the flashback moments with Eren and Squad Levi!  I feel like this whole experience is teaching Eren how to work with a team instead of just going and doing things on his own.
And oh man, was I on pins and needles waiting to see who was inside that Titan....!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Oh good!! Yeah, I definitely prefer "Hanji". Very good point about the example here of Levi's squad having absolute faith in him. I think it's good for Eren to learn to trust others that way! I'll be curious to see how Levi's speech plays a part later on in the series. I'd really love to know more about his character! Thanks about the whole Titan weight situation; excellent point that their whole functioning really defies reason/physics anyway! I can't wait to know more! Thanks for your comment ^_^

Lovely reaction as always Melissa. And, what a beautiful anime this is... from its masterpiece soundtrack to its characters, story, voice acting and everything. Can't wait to see future episodes together!

Hanji is pronounced 'Han-Jee' so I'm glad you prefer it like that. Pronouncing it as 'Hanj' just sounds odd. Yeah as you can see literally none of Levi's squad except Levi knew what was going on, and wasn't let in on the plan whatsoever. So it's really interesting to see how as soon as Levi fired that sound grenade and told them to get a hold of themselves, the squad members immediately stopped panicking and told Eren to do the same. Showing just the amount of pure blind faith and trust they have in Levi even in a life or death situation where they know nothing. Also you should keep in mind what Levi says to Eren this chapter about deciding whether to trust yourself or trust your comrades. It's a really important theme for both Eren and Levi's characters as you'll see down the line. As Levi says he's never known the right answer and told Eren that whatever he chose wouldn't be right or wrong, and that he's free to choose but that above all he should choose the one he''s regret least. Very important words. Also the whole thing about titans weighing far less than what they seem at first glance is definitely something that can be looked into and I'm glad you're curious about it. But as Hanji said, something as big as titans that weight that much shouldn't logically be able to move or walk in the first place, so it could just be a way of justifying why the titans are able to move in the first place. Since applying real world logic it would be impossible.
