Hey everyone! Here is my reaction/review of episode 4 of Picard. Our mission is underway, but a quick stop turns into another great character introduction and learning moment for Picard! Our crew seems to be growing! Meanwhile, I'm still trying to figure out where things are going with Soji....and on top of it all, that final scene....!!!! Great stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

2020-02-19 15:02:00 +0000 UTCJust finished that episode of Picard. That was 15 minutes of actual plot stretched out into 45 minutes of meandering tedium. The Borg cube stuff is dull and going nowhere. The space battle made zero sense. And Elrond has all the bite of decomposing lettuce.

2020-02-19 00:23:29 +0000 UTCYeah she definitely feels different from when we last saw her! I figured Picard would know her because he was Locutus, but wasn't positive if they had ever mentioned it on Voyager or if he had ever shown up (even in stock footage) as Locutus on Voyager. I was wondering if she'd be Anaka now too!!! Ohhh that's an interesting theory about the Romulans creating the borg...I do like the mystery of the borg but that would make an awful lot of sense. I never even thought about that with the universal translators!!! Once you think about it, it does seem a bit inconsistent haha. I am really enjoying it but I know not everyone is really into it at the moment. I agree that it's just nice to have a story like this if you're a fan, you know? Can't wait for the next ep!

2020-02-16 20:37:55 +0000 UTCI'm very interested to see how 7 of 9 has changed after some 20 years. She is certainly more laid back than on voyager. It doesn't surprise me Picard knows her as he WAS assimilated and was consulted on borg matters in the past. It might be nice if she went back to "Anaka Hansen" (sp) but i think Picard would have used that instead of 7 of 9. I'm also still loving that we get to see the non militaristic side of romulans. Someone had a theory that long ago the romulans created what became the borg so that is why they hate synthetic life. Kind of out there and i feel the borg are best unexplained. Also can someone just stick with one consistent rule on universal translators. In starfleet they are built into the badge so they hear english yes when worf speaks klignon it comes out in Klingon. Ferengi have a device in their ear but the same applies and of course we see picard speaking romulan and English but it should all sound romulan to the romulans... yea maybe overthinking it. Are you enjoying it so far? My dad isn't impressed and the fanbase is split. I find it interesting and i love the universe so just getting more canon makes me happy.
