THE JAYBOOK(LEE VS BRIAN 1)
Added 2018-06-25 16:12:23 +0000 UTCThis is from my old sketch book that I redone for the Jay Book. when I was a kid Lee was always wrestling guys in my sketches....LOL!!! my poor Mom...she was like...''WHATS WITH YOU???? '' My art teacher LOVED the stuff. he thought I had a good imagination. I even did a comic for him. He loved the Blue death wrestling Alien. He loved it that her name was my name scrambled up. He drew one featuring a red alien wrestling a guy that he shared with me. My art teacher was such a cool dude. I spent my lunch hour in his art room, eating lunch with him and just talking about comics. He showed me Vampirella...Heavy Metal magazine...those were the DAYS!!! Mom...despite thinking her sons were whacked out...bought those magazines for us...she didnt want to stop us from drawing. she wished we would go PG though. NEVER! These I recreated are SO much better than the originals I did when I was 16. Lee has been with me since I can remember...she's never changed...she sleeps with her opponent first before she wrestles them...its her M.O. LOL!!! My art teacher LOVED that part about her.

OMG I HATE abstract stuff. I'm glad you kept at art in spite of that teacher! Whats with that person...trying to teach kids abstract art???? I wasn't introduced to that until High School!!! By then...I was already totally in love with comic books.OMG... in fourth grade no less...that could have ruined you forever!!!

2018-06-25 18:41:25 +0000 UTCCool story. Sounds like your art teacher was really cool. My fourth grade art teacher almost turned me off to art forever. He was into abstract crap and, at that age, I had only the most vague idea what he was talking about. I'd still probably make faces at him but at least I'd know he wasn't the only game in town. ;)
