It's so true that this show does a good job of making you think about what the world would be like if there were really superheroes, and how (if at all) that could be regulated somehow so that they weren't just running amok. OMG "Who watches the Watchmen" is the perfect way of summing it up! I liked the Watchmen movie but have been dying to read it for years, since I've heard the graphic novel is far superior!!!! Thanks for the info!!!! ^_^

2019-09-26 21:37:23 +0000 UTCI'm sure you have a lot more people following your anime reactions, but just wanted to let you know I'm following this series with you :) I haven't finished this series so I may also finish watching along with you :D. It's so full of twists and turns, and analogies to real world systems of power, like sports, film production, politics, etc. The things that power does to people and the fact that people with power aren't guaranteed to be good people. I often after watching an episode find myself thinking about how you could set up a fair society if some portion of the world has super powers. Do you set up a super police force to police super people? Do you partner every super person with a human who is supposed to keep tabs on them? I mean, homelander seems so powerful that even if they wanted to restrain him, could they? Who watches the watchmen? (I highly recommend the Watchmen graphic novel BTW, I read it before watching the movie and it is so far superior it isn't funny)
