2019-08-04 21:39:15 +0000 UTCHi Anna! Very true that MHA doesn't need to be doing action to have a great, well told story with character development! (Although the action is pretty sweet, as well!) Also, good point about the moment where Izuku is told that All Might has never not been able to save someone.....I also got that impression that something awful happened in his past when I saw that scene!!!! I guess I'll find out more as I go along - can't wait! Thanks so much for your thoughts! :)

I feel like this is a really important episode even though not a lot "happened" in it (eg: nobody fighting or dying or being wounded etc). Sometimes MHA is at its best when all it is doing is exploring all of the character's reactions to what is happening and I think this episode did a great job of taking us through where Shigaraki and Midoriya are at. I also think it is very important that when Sukauchi tells Midoriya that All Might has never failed to save someone once he has arrived, that it is Sukauchi saying this and not All Might. I feel like there is something in his past which he is ashamed of, that he has failed to live up to his ideals before, at least that's what I take from his expression at that moment.
