More Game Stuff I'm Working On.

So this month I've been working on another game. I wanted to have a basic tech demo to show you by now, but things are still a bit too rough for even a "Walk Around And Look At Stuff" demo.

What I do have working is:

 - Full 3D graphics and animated characters running in browser

 - Save/Load functionality

 - A scripting system

 - 'Persona'/VN-esque dialogue trees

 - Controls for Desktop and Touchscreen

 - AI for NPCs and Monsters

 - Sound Effects and Music

...Etc. So basically the engine is pretty much complete, and I have everything except completed maps, models, images, a script, and the actual content that makes up a game.

Have a look at this very rough test screenshot to get an idea of the kind of thing I'm talking about:

Going forward, I hope to be working on this alongside making videos, progressively adding more and more content.

The working title is "Careers in Bimboization", and the plot is:

'Searching for a job, Faceless Protagonist finds himself accidentally employed in the exciting role of Bimboization Engineer. Consorting with Dark Powers Beyond Mortal Comprehension, he is tasked with arranging the transformation of various problematic individuals to more... ahem... agreeable forms.

But who is behind his mysterious employer? What do they really want? And is he in even further over his head than he suspects? (yes)'

I've had a variety of ideas for games, but they tend to quickly grow unmanageably complicated (Open Worlds - JUST SAY NO!), in terms of structure I'm aiming here for something pretty linear, with a series of 'missions', each structured like a mini old-style Adventure Game.

I'm still trying to write the script and wrap my head around what I'm actually trying to accomplish, but I hope you think this idea has potential.

I plan to have voting and accept suggestions on what kind of stuff people want to see included, but first I want to make a basic first 'mission' so that people can get the idea.

It'll run entirely in-browser, so you can play it completely online and save as you go. I want it to be able to run smoothly even on pretty low-end mobile devices as well. All of this adds some graphical constraints, but hopefully it'll still look acceptably nice.

...Anyway, I'll continue working on this, but I'll also be working on a new video (I've got some interesting ideas I want to try), and uploading more stories soon.

Kelir.
