Jinx is a problem for the topside but she is not the problem as a whole. As Sophie has said topside has been the oppressors the whole time, jinx is just somebody who is finally taking action, whether it’s the right or wrong way, against their oppressors. She released the same gas that topside was weaponizing against them.

It showed that Ambessa was behind the attack and collaborated with members of the underground to attack the memorial. Then it showed ambessa betraying the underside. All of this to position ambessa as a savior to topside when they needed help.
