Great discussion guys. And no need to apologize for not knowing everything about foreign affairs. Nobody does, and at least you’re trying to learn more. One thing I’d point out though, is that documentaries can actually be just as biased or misleading as acted shows. Which can be dangerous, bc they’re made to appear so real. But the creators can really focus on and create whatever narrative they want. So it’s always important to consider the source. I agree that there are many things that we don’t know, bc governments and powerful ppl have agendas. Still, there’s a difference between what we do know here, and what they know in Russia, to this day. Our news will have some bias and spin, but in Russia their news is controlled by the government, and the amount of propaganda they are fed is shocking. Even internet and social media is censored so they don’t find out things the government doesn’t want them to. Very sad.
