Y'all not doing well doing better lol. Still taking over scences and dialogue. U missed whn the baby died. Sophie did gd correcting whn needed but theres no prize for predictions so no need to discuss thm during the show. Theres only 1family to focus on so obviously u get relationships quicker. Aegon made the throne 20stories high. He didn't want his family to sit & rule laxed... otherwise they'd b cut showing they're unworthy. They made it smaller and smaller over the centuries....we c what nastiness it brought unworthy Aerys. Visarys was 16yr old when he became the last to ride Balerion. His size killed hm. The baby was named aftr Viserys dad. Y didn't yall nvr finished the GOT lore? Are u going to do HOTD lore?

House of the Dragon was such a breath of fresh air after the “ending that shall not be named” left the fandom in disarray. I think House takes all of the parts of Game of Thrones we loved & builds on it. You guys are going to really enjoy it. I look forward to your discussions & reactions! 😊 🐉

2023-08-17 23:58:35 +0000 UTCSmall note because it’s more of ASOIAF lore, it’s said that the throne cuts whoever it deems unworthy to sit upon it which I suppose is one of the reasons why it was highlighted in this episode. It’s an interesting myth, but it’s really up to the viewer to decide whether it holds any weight to it or not.

2023-08-17 23:33:55 +0000 UTCI can’t wait for the future episodes reactions! It’s definitely a different vibe from Game of Thrones, I think at times a lot more emotional because of the family ties. The world is also smaller in this season than in GoT so it’s a lot easier to follow.

When the baby was born we could hear that he had trouble breathing so he died instantly too so yeah... And I really like the complicated relationship between viserys and daemon. Looks like they care for each other but there is still a lot of tension

2023-08-17 20:30:20 +0000 UTCThe queen was going to die either way. The question was whether or not the King was willing to be the one to make it happen by trying to save the baby, or let them both die. The baby wasn’t going to be born on its own, which would kill the queen and the baby.

2023-08-17 19:58:14 +0000 UTCFingers crossed on this one.....and yes Sophie, Targaryens over the centuries mostly inbred, hence the white hair. They also had purple eyes on the books.... They do off course intermarriage into other houses for political reasons but their traits are usually strong. In the case of Jon, the Starks dominant dark hair genes won the gene pool.
