No, that's completely wrong. His degree was legitimate. Jimmy states that he finished his undergrad, then got his law degree from a correspondence school. You can't be a part of the Bar association without attending law school.

And you know Chuck is right because look at how Breaking Bad turned out. None of that would have been possible without Jimmy McGill misusing his law degree. He's a chimp with a machine gun. And this is the cause of Chuck's Illness, Jimmy's illegitimate law license.

Howard told Jimmy “the partners made a decision,” but we didn’t hear any of those conversations, just the final decision.
