As already mentioned, the Mountain appeared in season 1, where he lost a joust against Loras Tyrell, after which he chopped the head of his own horse and attempted to kill Loras. The Hound, his brother, interfered until King Robert commanded them to stop. Unfortunately he was recast, but he also appeared in season 2, where he capured Arya from the Nights watch recruiters and killed their leader Yoren. He was also part of Tywins war council at Harrenhal. He will be recast again, but from now on it will stay the same actor. Well the final person that portrays him is not really an actor, he is called Halfthor BjΓΆrnsson and was a World's strongest man competitor and won the title a few years ago. He also holds the (unofficial) world record in deadlift.
