Rob is going to Riverrun. Remember, Roose Bolton had two messages for Rob, from Riverrun and Winterfell. The one from Riverrun said that his grandfather Hoster Tully, Lord of Riverrun and Paramount of the Trident, Catelyns, father had died. The other one informed him about the distruction of Winterfell and that Bran and Rickon where missing. Catelyn even asked Rob if she will be wearing manacles (handcuffs) when she is laying her father to rest. Also Rickard Karstack told Rob that going to his grandfathers funeral during war is a distraction, but that is where they are heading.

Remember that Roose Bolton told Rob that his bastard could get to winterfell in a few days with a hundred men and re capture it. so that is Roose Boltons bastard. I donot think we have been given any more info about him so i wont say anything else.
