The scene with Maester Pycelle (the old fart) and Ros the whore showed that Pycelle is faking being old. He gets all spry as soon as she leaves and right before he leaves he hunches again. He rambles and looks decrepit so that people underestimate him.

She then killed Danys baby in the blood magic spell to “save” him. She knew what she was doing the whole time. Dany then learned that “only death can pay for life” in the books she had a dream about it. The life of drogo her son and the witch hatched her 3 dragons. One of my favorite parts of season 1 🔥 💜
