Personally I loved that Walter let Jane die. If Jesse cared so much for Jane he wouldn't have gotten her back on drugs. Also she had just blackmailed a drug dealer and didnt expect consequences, and was gonna lead to Jesses overdose. Walt killed two birds with one stone, saved Jesse and himself.
