Spider-Man 2 Is A Good Game (Ad Free)
Added 2023-10-27 06:07:37 +0000 UTCSpider-Man 2 released on the 20th of October this year, and reviews have been excellent.
So many memes are coming out referencing the game that it seems as if everyone is playing it, with millions of edits immediately being uploaded since release.
Of course, Spider-Man is one of the biggest sources for meme culture perhaps ever, from Bully Maguire to the Bagel Effect.
On that note, who could forget the insane amount of edits coming from Across The Spider-Verse for months and months and months after the film released this year?
Spider-man 2 even has the option to apply 12 FPS to the character model in reference to the Spider-Verse films.
And, you can point at another Spider-Man to recreate that famous meme that now appears in all related media.
It’s clear that developers Insomniac Games know exactly what they’re doing with their source material, and are keen to cater to all demographics, making sure that anyone who picks up the game is going to have a good time.
Not only is the combat excellent, but the actual web swinging remains as fluid as ever, making sure you really feel like Spider-Man.
Jokes aside, there’s a reason the franchise is so popular – the words “with great power comes great responsibility” ring true, as we have two regular guys just trying to get through with ordinary life whilst working as crime-fighting vigilantes.
This means juggling an insane work/life balance that no one could ever dream of, with superhero duties often clashing with important everyday activities.
It is in this manner that Spider-Man has always been relatable – he’s not a tech billionaire like Tony Stark, he’s just some guy trying to get by, and that makes him far more interesting than many other superheroes on the market.
Even IGN has gotten in on the memes, referencing the (at times) controversial MJ combat which is deemed either intense or boring, depending on the player.
It’s testament to one of the best original Spider-Man games, also called “Spider-Man 2” released in 2004, which initially set the standard for best exploration via web slinging.
As bugs have been discovered and many have begun completing the game, there’s even more room for the celebration of silliness – one of the best being that players have discovered how to turn into a cube, which has become a meme in its own right.
In short, Spider-Man 2 had a lot to live up to after the release of the first game in 2018, and then the Miles Morales DLC in 2020.
Fortunately, it achieves what it sets out to do extremely well, and lives up to the reputation of Spider-Man properties generating endless memes in the process.
