Content Update: The Morning After

Warning long post.

Wanted to make a post to detail some additional information

Sacred Beasts:

I didn’t expect on finishing the entire thing after 1 ½ years.
Part of the reason it took additional 5 months was the loss of my renders, added on to delays in VA work… delays in graphics elements and Random (who is the audio enginer) got burned out which is why there are 2 engineers.

This project was a pretty big learning experience from a production point fo view, I won’t be doing long animations for a while now, it’s not really worth it.

There will be no more further work done on Sacred Beasts.

Amazonian Mist.

There isn’t much to say as the script is nowhere near done but I can say it will be produced all together instead of parts. Doing it this way will make the animation flow better.

The runtime is being debated, 40 minutes isn’t a target but will be the max as the animation will be produced within a year of its start.

Equipment will also be updated before production starts…. rip energy bills.

Model Updates:

The model is also is in need of some updates. I’d like to spend time adding body hair, additional bones and more detailed maps for improved wrinkles and squish.
I don’t know if Wildeer plans on updating his base model he’s probably still finishing his current project so it may have to wait til then.

Some Questions:

Q: What is the prelude?
A: The prelude is a teaser for Amazonian Mist, it’s not an end to sacred beasts, it’s a beginning of something else. I used another VA to seperate the two further as the animation was mainly a test bed for Cycles render engine and finding a new VA for both Lara and future projects.

Not all Voice Actors work the same and they have their strengths and weaknesses so understanding how they work will make production smoother and the overall project better.

Q: Is Amazonian Mist a sequel to Sacred Beasts
A: Amazonian Mist will be a continuation of Sacred Beasts. It is set a few days afterwards.

Q: What does “Don’t expect a follow up” mean?
A: I’m finished with making Lara content for a while, I have multiple other projects which includes requests that I’d like to animate.
I get messages quite often about "When is Part 5" I'm hoping to quell these comments as it will be a while.

Q: What will be in Amzonian Mist?
A: I currently have a few ideas but nothing concrete, Amazonian’s are women but I also want to add a supernatural element. I would like to add an arena fight to the animation too.
There won’t be any dream sequences.

Q: Was she pregnant at the end of The Prelude?
A: sure.

Q: Favourite Part?
A: Part 4

Q: What other projects do you want to work on?
A: Atleast a dozen... however Final Fantasy and Resident Evil will by the next major animations.
The former being a short the latter being a main animation.

What's Next:
I'll be continuing with the Operation Lovecraft Animation, it will be another short animation followed by Final Fantasy which will be a Bad Ending animation; Hope you enjoy them.
