Don Pollo Arrested (ad free)

Don Pollo, aka “the king of Ohio”, has been arrested.

His wife shared a video explaining the situation, noting that Don Pollo had money troubles, asking viewers to please send gifts over TikTok, and said that the king of Ohio should not be in jail.

Fortunately, a couple of days later, Don Pollo shared a video of himself drinking a beer with his wife and clearly out of prison, giving an exuberant “yeehaa” to his audience.

The man is a culturally significant icon responsible for tonnes of meme sounds, most of which consist of variations of the slowed down “Salam alekum alekum salah”, amongst many others.

Chances are, you’ve heard him speaking in a meme before but had no idea.

The great man (whose real name is Agustin) became famous for filming himself eating in his car, often interrupted by extremely loud ringtones and notification sounds, which have become a frequent audio element in the memes he inspires.

As the loud = funny phenomenon continues its unholy reign over meme culture, anyone providing goofy noises for edits and clips is naturally going to be considered the cream of the crop.

Allegedly, he is called “the king of Ohio” because he was spotted working in an Ohio school, but considering he had money troubles this is very unlikely.

As of the writing of this video, he has over 2 million followers on TikTok, which is just insane, and it’s a shame his super high levels of fame have not led to a lucrative career on social media.

You may remember Don Pollo was often pitted against the Ohio Final Boss, Satoyu, and the two of them had massively popular mock battles online leading to unimaginable levels of recognition across social media.

It just goes to show how in the modern era, a person can be incredibly famous yet receive a pittance for it.

I believe stars like him deserve more and that it is a failing on TikTok’s behalf to not compensate someone who gives the company so much value.

As his legacy continues to thrive amongst the ever-churning machinations of meme culture, Don Pollo seems perfectly willing to continue making clips for his audience of millions, so it isn’t as if he is going anywhere soon.

In short, Don Pollo’s arrest is hopefully a small setback in an otherwise unblemished online career from the man, and as he continues to receive recognition from his fans, I hope he will be able to turn his hobby into a fun and exciting source of financial independence.

What meme would you guys like me to give a lesson in next? Let me know in the comments below.
