Johann might be right, and/or the character in the future epi might be right. Like a lot of things in Lost, the producers want to have us make up our own minds on character decisions sometimes.

The tattoo episode should be forgotten because almost every other episode is fire.....Eko dies in 3-5, Juliet's backstory in 3-7, Desmond's ring lady in 3-8, we get the answer to how Locke ended up in a wheelchair in 3-13.....three of my favorite episodes of all the series are later this year....all the seasons are great but season 3 for me is THE watch.
