Minicomic 🌸 Seban and Marie (+ random info)

I really enjoy taking some breaks between commissions or responsibilities to just create some quick and silly comics to show the character personalities and the way they interact! :)

This will happen in the first book. Marie needs a captain to move to a town where all the seeds and medicines are provided, and she wants Seban to go with her. She has three reasons for this: (1) ‘All the other captains are so annoying’ as she said’; (2) She is planning to propose to Marlène and she wanted to ask Seban to be a kind of godfather of Marlènes culture and (3) She had to inform Seban that the medicines his granny has been taking for years aren’t effective anymore.

The trip to this town in a really tropical and humid area takes about four days, so Marie thought that these days would help Seban to realax and learn how to deal with all the information.

Marie is a complicated character, and she can be annoying for most of the people, but really cares about people she appreciates. She feels really comfortable with Seban and Iris, mostly because Gerard (their father) was really supportive with her and Marlène, and both women really want to give back all the help and support they received from their dad.

I think I also have mentioned the fact that the economy in this world is base in barter, and just some particular professions are paid with coins called ‘scales’. These coins will give the person access to luxury and exclusive items and services usual people can’t afford at all.

In the Academy, captains and students are paid for their protective job with a residence, hygienic products, usual medicines, water and power, and food. But there are special titles which give the person some scales as well, like working in one of the Departments. Seban, aside of being captain, works in the Department of Magic Affairs, that’s why he gets this kind of money.

However, Kohr, his hometown, is a really spiritual and so close to nature place, and people there don’t really care about material stuff, but for connections with other people, environments and living beings.

So he, as Iris, doesn’t find useful the scales at all hehe
