Cozy Lights - MOD KIT (1.2 Update)

The new 1.2 update is now available! Hopefully it fixes the bug of a few items being invisible, please let me know! I completely remade the halo lamp to make it an animated lamp that looks like it comes from the future! (It's also inspired by my next mod, that will be annunced on Tuesday (Jan. 21st 2025) save the date!!

Please remove the older file from your mods folder, and replace it with the new "Arnie_CozyLights_(v1.2).package" file down below.

Full Changelog:

• The Elegant Candle Set has been remade once again to try to fix a compatibility/visibility issue for some players.

• The Wooden TV Bench has been remade as well and hopefully fixed

• The Pendant Deisgner Lantern has been updated with a texture reflection improvement.

• The Salt Lamp has been improved (model + texture)

• The Sunset Halo Glow Light has been remade from scratch, there is now a new animated halo lamp that should finally work for all (see down below!)

Please note that if you used one of these updated/fixed items in your builds, you might need to place again, , since they have been remade/referenced. If you get the "Missing Data" notification in game, it's normal! No worries :)

Dear all,

Today I am releasing my first sims mod in more than two years, just in time for my comeback in the Sims Community!

Cozy Lights is a Mod Kit designed to add warmth and ambience to your builds and gameplay. Illuminate your Sims’ home with uniquely crafted lights, perfect for creating cozy spaces and enhancing your spaces.

What's Included

It contains 14 new items with about 100 swatches overall! I had so much fun desgining these objects, it helped me feel good again about my work (which had not happened for a while!)

The items include 12 new lamps, in various styles:

Paper lanterns, floor/table lamps, donut shaped, salt lamp, kitten night light, lava lamp, mushroom lights, as well as one projected sunset light (the halo on the wall) AND an elegant wooden TV bench/coffee table. 

One of my personal favourites is the rocket lava lamp, which was inspired by my most beloved comics when I was a kid: Tintin ("On a Marché sur la Lune" for the conoisseurs). The lava inside is animated and there are many swatches to choose from, combined with lighting colours it looks great.

I've also added a little extra effect to make all these lights unique, which is a soft glow/halo that appears at night when turned on. I'm really happy about that, it makes the lighting look completely different in the game, without the need of graphics modifications or reshade.

Note: the sunset halo light is separated into two objects: the little projector lamp, and the actual circle projected light on the wall (Make sure to use both to get the same results as in my visuals, or use them seperately, it's totally up to you).

There's another bonus, the pie menu for lights has been redesigned with new icons and a quick turn on/off interaction! (The icons and pie menu categories are overriding the game's original ones, which will show off for all lights! (NB: The glow effect and the quick turn on/off action are available only to selected cozy lights. If you'd like to have them for all lights, let me know!)

LUX Lights UPDATED

Since we're on the same exciting topic (LAMPS!), I am happy to announce that my older mod kit LUX Lights, has just been updated to v2.0! This new version features upgrades like the glow/halow, redesigned moon lamp, improved textures, and the new updated pie menu! You can grab it here!

How to Install

• Download the file attached to this post down below: "ARNIE_Cozy Lights MOD KIT (v1.0).package"

• Put it in your Mods folder (and make sure you enable mods in the game's settings)

• Enjoy :) You can find these items by searching for "Cozy" or "Arnie" in the build/buy searchbar.
